Chapter 1
Y/n Pov
Singer House
“You ready for the big showcase tomorrow?” Bobby asks me from across the kitchen table.
“Yeah, just nervous. It’s a hard song.” I say with a sigh, and take a sip of my coffee.
“Oh, I’m sure you’ll do great kid.” Bobby says waving a hand. I smile sheepishly and take another sip of my coffee.
“I just wish my mom could be there.” I say deflated.
“I know, and I’m sorry she can’t be. Are your aunt and cousin coming?” He asks raising a brow.
“No. No, after everything that happened with my dad and uncle, they took their sides. Still do.” I say leaning my elbow on the table and propping my head up with my hand.
“I’m sorry hon. But what you gotta understand is that you didn’t do anything wrong. Whattheydid was.. wrong don’t even begin to describe it.” Bobby says shaking his head.
“Yeah.. I just.. Part of me feels like it was my fault for letting it go on for so long.” I say looking down into my near empty mug.
“Hey. None of that was your fault. Not one damn bit of it. You hear me?” Bobby says harshly.
“Yeah, I hear you. I just miss the bond we had before it all started. I mean, I miss my old dad and Uncle T.” I say, feeling reminiscent.
“I can understand that. I really can. But after how they treated you. Hell. I should’ve just killed em dead.” He says clenching his mug.
“But then you’d be in jail. And I would’ve never got out, I would’ve never got to know you or Sam or Dean or Cas.” I say looking up at him, his face softens.
“Yeah, yeah I know. You’re out of that now, and you ain’t ever going to have to see them again. I promise you that.” Bobby says firmly.
“I know Bobby, and I really am thankful for it, everyday.” I say giving him a reassuring smile.
“I know you are darlin. And so am I, and the boys. They really do care about ya.” He says giving me a smile back.
“Well being my best friends, I should hope so.” I say laughing. “What time are they coming anyway?” I ask looking out the kitchen window.
“They said around dinner time so about 4 hours or so. You guys going to camp out again?” Bobby asks.
“I don’t know, I mean the weather’s good but they’ve been driving all day.” I say shrugging.
“Alright, well you know where the camping stuff is. And don’t make the fire too big, I don’t need the fire marshal comin up again.” He says with an eyebrow raised.
“Hey now, it was Dean’s idea to add lighter fluid. Me and Sam warned him.” I say laughing and raising my hands. Bobby just chuckles and shakes his head.
“Yeah I’m sure you two wererealinnocent in all of it.” He says with a smile.
“Well, onthatnote.” I say laughing and standing up. “I’m going to go shower and maybe watch some tv or something. You need help with dinner?” I ask moving toward the stairs.
“No I’m alright thanks y/n. You just head on up. I’ll holler when they get here if you’re not down here.” He says as I make it to the bottom of the stairs.
“Alright!” I call back before heading up.
I enter my bedroom and grab some pajamas for after my shower. Nothing extravagant, just a plain black t-shirt that Dean left the last time he was here and some pajama shorts with some socks and underwear. I lay them out on my bed for after my shower and take off my clothes from today, and slip my bathrobe on. It’s my favorite one, Sam got it for me last year. It’s a made of cotton, and goes down to my knees and feels like a really long flannel.
I exit my room and go into the bathroom and turn on the hot water. While I lean against the counter and wait for the water to heat up I decide to scroll on tiktok. A few funny cat videos and a video about what my TV crush says about me.. A little too accurately.. The water is ready and I put on my Shower Playlist and strip off my robe and hop in.
The hot water against my back makes me hiss at first but I adjust to it quickly. I wash and condition my hair to ‘Paralyzed’ by Sueco before the song changes and I move on to wash and shave my body. I get a little too distracted by ‘Have Faith In Me’ by A Day To Remember and nick my calf while shaving. Nothing too bad from what I can see, I wipe away the blood and finish my shower.
I hear a knock on the door just as I dry off and put my robe on. “Who is it?” I ask through the door, drying my hair with a towel.
“Oh, uh, sorry it’s Sam.” Sam says from the other side. I open the door and smile up at my tallest best friend.
“Oh, hey Sammy. Sorry, you need in here?” I ask pointing behind me with my thumb.
“Yeah, but it’s cool I can use the other one when Dean’s done.” He says with a chuckle running his hand through his hair.
“Oh he’ll be forever I’m sure. Here, go on in. I can brush my teeth after.” I say moving out of the way.
“You sure? Thanks y/n. I’ll be quick.” He says sliding past me.
“Don’t worry about it Sammy, I’ll be in my room just give me a knock when you’re done.” I say waving my hand and walking across the hall.
“Will do.” He says chuckling with a smile and shutting the door.
I walk into my room and put my leave in conditioner in my hair and brush it. My hair has gotten a lot longer since I moved here, now my brown hair goes the the middle of my back. I apply my face serum and slip my robe off and get dressed.
“Hey y/n.” Sam says knocking on my closed door.
“Well long time no see.” I joke as I open it.
“Yeah, no kidding. Bathroom is free, thanks again.” He says with a smile, opening his arms for a hug.
“No problem Sammy. How was your guys trip?” I ask as I hug him, letting his comforting and familiar warmth wash over me.
“Not too bad. We got here pretty quick.” He says against the top of my head.
“Good. And hey, I appreciate you guys coming. But it’s really no big deal.” I say pulling back, Sam’s fingers lingering on my waist for a few minutes before he pulls them back.
“Are you kidding? We wouldn’t miss it. Your last big performance after you graduated last week?” Sam says shaking his head with a smile.
“Well I hope you guys like it.” I say with a smile back. “Anyway, I’m going to brush my teeth real quick, but I’ll meet you guys downstairs?” I say with a half smile.
“Oh, yeah no problem, see you down there.” Sam says moving out of my way.
Sam walks back downstairs and I make my way into the bathroom and start brushing my teeth. Why would his fingers linger on me?
Don’t over think it y/n, it’s nothing.
I think to myself.
They’re your best friends, nothing more.
But I can’t shake the butterflies I felt when he had his fingers on my waist and I spit out the tooth paste and rinse my mouth.
I exit the bathroom and walk downstairs to the livingroom where Bobby and the boys are standing and having a beer. “Dean Winchester as I live and breathe.” I joke and chuckle.
“Well well if it isn’t y/n. Little miss trouble herself.” Dean jokes back with a smile and walking over to me.
“How are you doing?” I say as he wraps me in a hug and lifts me off the ground, making me laugh light heartedly.
“Good, we’re excited for your performance.” He says putting me back down on my feet and pulling away.
“Yeah, it’ll be good. I hope everyone likes it.” I say running a hand through my hair.
“Hey. Is that my shirt?” Dean asks pointing to his shirt I’m wearing.
“Finders keepers.” I joke with a shrug.
“Ha ha very funny.” Dean mocks with a laugh.
“Well, dinners ready. Who’s hungry?” Bobby asks with a clap. “I am.” We all reply in sync and laugh. “Alright, well come and get it.” Bobby says with a laugh and walks into the kitchen, Dean following behind him.
“Hey, what happened to your leg?” Sam asks grabbing my shoulder from behind me. I turn to face him and look down at the blood dripping down my leg.
“Oh shit. I cut myself shaving, must’ve been more than a nick.” I say with a shrug.
“Need some help getting it cleaned up?” Sam asks with a worried look on his face.
“I’m alright Sammy. Could you actually just grab the first aid kit and meet me in the kitchen? Just needs to be cleaned and wrapped.” I say with a shrug.
“Yeah, no problem go sit down.” He says pointing to the kitchen and heading to the closet.
I sit down at the kitchen table and pull my leg up, dabbing the cut with a napkin. “You alright y/n?” Bobby asks from across the table.
“Oh yeah, I’m fine just a nick from shaving. Sam’s grabbing the first aid kit.” I say looking up at Dean and Bobby.
“Okay, well I’ll fix your plate while you get that.” Dean says standing up and starting to make me a plate.
“Thanks D.” I say as Sam walks into the kitchen and takes the chair next to me.
“Here, let me see.” Sam says gently grabbing my ankle and propping my heel on his leg.
“Sammy, really it’s fine. I can do it.” I say with a chuckle.
“Y/n Lee-Ann, give me your leg. Just eat, I got it.” Sam says nodding to the plate of spaghetti and beer Dean sat down in front of me.
“Alright, alright.” I say in surrender, fighting a blush and grab my beer.
Sam pulls out some alcohol wipes, a gauz pad and a bandage while Dean and Bobby talk to eachother. “This might sting.” Sam says holding the alcohol wipe.
“Go for it.” I say nodding my head and taking a big drink. The second the wipe touches my cut, I tense up and clench my fists. “Fuck! That hurts!” I groan loudly.
“Sorry, I did warn you.” Sam says with an apologetic face. I let out a deep breath as he puts the gauz pad on.
“It’s fine.” I say in a breath out.
“Gotta be more careful y/n. Razors are sharp.” Dean jokes giving me a wink.
“Oh whatever D. Think you can handle it better?” I ask sarcastically.
“Princess, I know I could.” Dean says with a smirk.
I roll my eyes and watch Sam carefully wrap my leg a few times with a self adhesive bandage. Once he’s done he places his hand over the covered cut, his big hand almost wrapping entirely around my calf.
“That should do it. You should be more careful though.” Sam says looking up at me.
“Hey, it’s not like I tried to Sammy. But thank you.” I say giving him a smile.
“You’re welcome.” He says with a light chuckle. It’s as if he realized his hand was lingering and he pulls it back clearing his throat. I pull my leg back and put my foot on the floor as Sam gets up to make his own plate.
“So what’s the plan for tonight? Bonfire?” Dean asks rubbing his hands together with a smirk as I take a few bites of my food.
“As long as I take away your lighter fluid first.” I joke with a smile.
“Hey you dare-” I cut him off by kicking him under the table. Bobby looks at me and squints.
“So, you told him not too huh?” Bobby asks me with a chuckle as Sam sits back down next to me.
“Me? Dare someone to do something reckless?Never." I say dramatically with a hand on my chest. Sam chuckles from my side as he starts to eat.
“Ohpleaselittle miss trouble.” Dean says with a laugh crossing his arms.
“Trouble? I’m completely innocent.” I say nonchalantly as I take a bite of my food. This time Sam, Dean and Bobby all laugh.
“So innocent you got caughtdrinkingon school grounds.” Bobby says raising a brow.
“What was that?” Sam asks next to me with a suprised look on his face and a wide smile.
Dean looks at me with a smirk, arching a brow. “Bad girl.” Dean teases.
“Oh fuck the both of you. Like you two never did anything bad at school.” I retort with a chuckle and take the last bite of my food. Sam and Dean look at eachother, shake their heads and look down laughing.
“What’s so funny?” I ask curiously at their behavior. “Nothing.” They say at the same time with a smile.
“Oh whatever. Well, do you guys want to have a fire?” I ask changing the subject.
“Yeah, sounds good. We camping out too?” Sam asks as he finishes his plate.
“I’m down. D?” I ask turning to Dean.
“Sounds good to me. You guys still have the air mattress?” Dean asks me and Bobby.
“Yeah, it’s all in the closet. But remember y/n. You gotta be up early, so set your alarm.” Bobby says to me.
“I will. You want help with the dishes?” I ask Bobby.
“No, it’ll all fit in the dishwasher. You guys go ahead.” Bobby says waving a hand as we all stand up. “And no lighter fluid!” He yells behind our backs. We all snicker as we exit the kitchen.

Your storytelling is amazing, and the characters are crafted so well. As I finished, I couldn’t help but imagine how perfect this story would be as a comic. The more I thought about it, the more I felt it would look incredible in that format.
