Unexpectedly dark and deep - a must read for anyone
"I started reading this story as a change of genre as I usually don't like romance too much but this one appeared to be a bit different from the average love story so I decided to give it a try. First of all the story absolutely didn't disappoint me in that matter as it is far from mainstream, certainly not for the faint hearted and in every aspect very well thought through. I'm really impressed with how much care the author adressed topics such as mental illness, violence, sexual assault and bullying, never downplaying or normalizing them. What started off as a very cliché dramatic family situation, turning Ryan's live upside down, making him the stereotypical gay victim for bullying and finally getting saved and thrown into a toxic relationship with the schools bad boy quickly turned into so much more. The complexity of Parsa's character has really blown my mind with his calculating, slightly sadistic mind, formed by his past trauma and suffering yet having such emotional depth and loyalty towards Ryan. It's safe to say that this book by far exceeded my expectations and turned into one of my favourite storys, captivating me from the first moment on and getting me lost in thought many times."

"This was a gut wrenching novel that was so beautifully written that it sent me into a spiral of different emotions. At first I thought it would be too much for me to read because Ryan was so naive and he was getting hurt and bullied and I felt so bad that I thought I just couldn’t continue the book but then I remembered how people out there in the world actually struggle with these issues just because they express who they are or just because some people are really fucked up and brutal for no reason and I thought it was worth reading because I’d like to experience the emotions of this book because that’s what reading is all about and I am so happy that I finished reading it because it is one of the best books I have ever read with so many different emotions and action happening. I recommend this book to others if you want a really good read and the author is amazing for writing such a wonderful book that have me the best experience reading it. 🥰💖😊🥹"
Very emotional
"This book influenced me to a great extent. I felt so bad for the main character being kind and naive, so he had to endure bullying everywhere and could've been raped more than once.on the other hand, the author was able to create another real hero who lived a dilemma and had a very complicated personality. He evolved through the story once he felt love.Thank you for your great work, and I felt so sad when it ended, I wish you could add an epilogue to it stating how they lived after some years."

"While drama and romance aren't typically my go-to genres, this story managed to capture my interest and kept me turning the pages. The characters are what really stand out here, each bringing something unique to the table. I have to say, 'Parsa' is my absolute favorite—his perspective at the end was the highlight for me. I wish we could have seen more of his point of view throughout the story! Ryan, although not my personal favorite, is a beautifully written character. His sensitivity and romantic nature really shine through, and I couldn’t help but feel protective of him as the story unfolded. He has this innocence that makes you want to see him happy and safe. What I also appreciated is how the story touches on a meaningful social issue and provides a satisfying resolution. It’s refreshing to see it tackled in such a thoughtful way. Overall, if you’re a fan of heartfelt drama and romance, this story is definitely worth checking out. It’s full of emotional twists, with a bit of toxicity in the early stages of the relationship, and a lot of anguish along the way, but it ultimately leads to a happy ending. Despite the rollercoaster of emotions, it leaves you with a sense of closure. I’d recommend giving it a try."
