"My sister is a CWO in the Army National Guard, My daughter and son in law were in the Air Force, my husband was in the Navy, and I was in the Marine Corps (yes, my husband still drives me around. LOL) As well as several other cousins, aunts, and uncles. While my husband nor I deployed, my sister deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan for a year each. My daughter and her husband also deployed. being at home while they are gone is very nerve-wracking. You did a wonderful job portraying the emotional ride that goes with having family in the military. Highly recommend this book to all! Semper Fi Sgt USMC"

Beautiful but tear-jerking
"What a wonderful book. It has a beautiful storyline and I enjoyed each character. Although, Dree annoyed me a bit with her indecisiveness in the beginning, I totally understand that different people in the same situation would act differently especially given her life's experience. This book totally deserves 5 stars and I won't totally recommend to my friends if I had any on here (or with me in real life). Dear author, thank you so much "

"I have truly enjoyed reading this book. Bryan has a way to bring the story line of the main characters, supporting characters, the deployed soldiers and the culture of the of FRG so vividly that I can’t help to think that he himself was a soldier at one point or related To one…He is spot on on a lot of it !!! Some may think that the story line is too far fetch, however, I do not think it is, life has a way to place a couple in the weirdest and craziest of way 🤪. My husband was one 1st of the 143 Airborne Rangers Battalion and believe me when I say that you encounter people from all walks of life. Bryan I hope you add more chapters soon because I can’t way to read the end… !!!!!"

"What I don't like is being interrupted with my reading to have to give a review after each chapter. One shouldn't be giving reviews before finishing the entire book. I SO MISS MY PAPERBACK NOVEL'S BUT I TELL YOU WHAT AFTER THIS I'M GOING BACK TO MY PAPERBACK BOOKS WHERE I'M NOT CONSTANTLY BEING FORCED TO GIVE AN UNMEANINGFUL REVIEW HAVING SAID THAT THE REASON I STARTED TO READ THIS BOOK IS IT STARTS OUT IN MY NATIVE CITY. Strong Characters, Compelling Plot
"To start, I wasn't sure about reading this. The premise sounded a bit cliche - a former child actress gets married to an army soldier in Vegas and they continue their pretend marriage as a publicity stunt. The idea of her using army life in such a way made me uncomfortable. I am really glad I gave this story a chance! The characters have a lot of depth to them and have room for growth. The life of military personnel and families is being handled with such detail and the FMC is open to learning about it. On the flipside, the trials of being in the public eye are also examined from her pov. The writing is excellent. World building and character development are strong. I am thoroughly enjoying this story and couldn't put it down. I look forward to following as it developed. I like the romance level. It is a fast hooked up, but then a respectful courtship. I love that they clearly feel for each other and am looking forward to when they give in to their feelings. However, I also like how they are taking time to get to know each other without physical attachment."
