Compelling and Immersive
"FreshBlue101 has crafted a compelling and immersive narrative in "Tied by Dreams," a story that brilliantly intertwines family dynamics, subtle humor, and a slow-burning delve into the supernatural. The main characters, Kaiden and Janet, are fraternal twins whose bond and individual personalities drive the story forward in a way that feels both authentic and engaging. First I would like to start off by saying that the story’s blurb is quite catching - and very accurate to the story. Better yet, it's accurate without spoiling anything. That's something you don't see everyday! One of the standout aspects of this story are the vivid descriptions of both the characters and the surroundings. The author’s attention to detail paints a clear picture of the setting. A particularly humorous example of this would be the fire pit, which was noted to have been stolen from a campground. These small, unique details add a layer of realism and charm to the story. Plus it gives the reader more insight to the characters and their family without bluntly saying it outright. The adopted grandparents are another highlight of the story. I won't say why, but I suspect they may be of greater importance later on - but that could just be me. The dogs are also a delight. It was so refreshing to see non vilified Pitbulls. The inclusion of cats, a favorite for many readers (myself included), instantly earns the story extra points. The pets being considered part of the family, as well as being a family to each other, is a wonderful touch that adds further depth to the characters' lives. The gradual introduction to the non-human elements of the plot is masterfully done. Unlike many stories that dive headfirst into the supernatural, FreshBlue101 takes the time to build suspense and intrigue, making the reveal all the more impactful. That and while I’ll admit I’ve never been a fan of mafia romance, this story might just change my perspective. Now with all that said, I could have gone into much MUCH more about this story - but decided to stop here to help prevent spoiling anyone reading this review. In conclusion, I highly recommend "Tied by Dreams" to anyone looking for a well-written, engaging story with a perfect mix of humor, heart, and supernatural intrigue. This story might be new, but I have no doubt it will become something phenomenal. FreshBlue101 has a bright future ahead, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author. (Side note - while reading, I did notice a small point of confusion at the end of chapter two. It’s unclear whether the line “Now, how am I going to get you in the house?” is a thought or something Mimi says out loud. Clarifying this would enhance the reader's understanding. Other than that, great work!) "
