Summary

Max was a regal alpha king werewolf with immortality coursing through his veins who finally encounters his soulmate, the one fate has woven into his existence. He possesses the rare gift of foresight, able to glimpse into the threads of time before they unravel. Despite his vast wealth and undeniable good looks, Max remains grounded in humility. As Berlie prepares to embark on a business trip, Max catches wind of her impending departure. His senses, finely attuned to her presence, guide him to her side as she prepares to board her flight. Yet, amidst the hustle and bustle of the airport, a vision shatters his tranquility—a premonition of her plane's impending doom due to engine failure. Determined to avert catastrophe, Max springs into action. While Berlie takes a momentary respite in the airport restroom, he wrestles with the dilemma of revealing his supernatural nature. Aware of her ignorance regarding werewolves, he delegates the task of persuasion to his assistant, hoping to coax her into joining him for a discussion in the lounge. However, Berlie's resilience proves formidable, thwarting the assistant's attempts to sway her. Fuelled by a lifetime of independence and the envy of her peers, Berlie remains steadfast in her decision, shunning offers of companionship that come too easily.

Author’s Note to My Readers on Inkitt

Dear Readers,

You may notice that the beginning of King Maximilianus has changed—and I wanted to share the reason why.

After receiving both thoughtful and enthusiastic reviews on NetGalley, I took time to reflect on some of the feedback. One particular reader mentioned that the 700-year time span felt a bit rushed, and they wished it had been explored more fully instead of summarized in one chapter. That comment sparked something in me—and I realized they were right.

The Boksis, who are truly the catalyst of everything that unfolds, deserved more space at the beginning. So, I reworked the opening chapters to bring their story to life more vividly. You’ll now find deeper context, richer layers, and more magic threaded through those early pages.

We’ve made edits and enhancements throughout, based on valuable feedback, while still keeping true to the heart of the story.

If you’re curious about my thoughts on the reviews or want to connect more personally, feel free to check out my Facebook page. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this new version of King Maximilianus—a story reborn with even more love, mystery, and purpose.

With gratitude,

Stavellie Salomon
