"Author did a wonderful job of showing what can happen when you stand up for yourself in a setting of high family expectations. The plot was great and the characters were relatable especially Julia"s fight with depression. The worse part was the loss of my favorite character cause I was so hoping there'd be a sequel for that character."

"I like the plot and overall theme of the story, however, I feel like it lacks true conflict as of this chapter. It could be a good YA novel with this plot line. I just wish the characters were a bit gray, father than black or white. Overall, it is a simple but enjoyable read "
