Floodgates
There are times when I have
to let the feelings
out
no matter how much
I know it’s going to
hurt.
I could spare myself the agony
if I keep them locked
away,
but ironically, either way
I’ll be destroyed
entirely.

This collection of poems examines the various stages of acceptance of this concept, as I have gradually learned to be in love with my fate.
