Long Time No See
This is the final story in the Steve and Nick series, yes I couldn't come up with a more interesting name than that haha!.
Anyway, thank you all for reading, if you've found this story it can standalone but it would be best to read Let Them Eat Cake, A Love Like That, Runaway, DoubleFace and Food Of Love first, as the main characters do follow right through the series.
"Michael?" the smooth accented voice stopped him in his tracks, "Michael Giles?", a hand landed on his shoulder, turning slowly he looked straight into the eyes of the only person he'd ever truly loved.
Grant Robinson.
"Um, oh god, It IS you, I can't believe it, Michael, oh my god, um um.... haha long time no see!".
**********
Michael froze, again, those eyes, those mesmerising eyes, that heterochromic gaze stared at him, just like it used to, back then though that gaze had been filled with love, now it was just........ different coloured eyes.
Grant had one blue eye, one brown, his hair was almost white, back in his uni days his appearance had attracted a lot of attention, wanted and unwanted, girls flocked and young men swarmed around him.
Grant was gay, openly, happily and confidently, gay.
"Michael?"....... "Mike?".
That subtle accent brought Michael out of his fog, blinking furiously he looked around for an escape route, the wall of bodies around him seemed to close in on him as his palms began to sweat.
"Michael, you okay?", Grant stared at him with a troubled look, reaching out a hand and touching the mans face he jumped back as Michael gasped out loud.
"Yes, yeah, I'm, I'm, absolutely fine, yes yes fine, um, I have to go".
Spotting a break in the crowd Michael fled, elbowing his way through the melee he burst out of the rear doors of the pub, almost falling flat on his face in the process, gulping in huge lung fulls of cold night air.
Tears stung his eyes as all the hurt and heartache he'd bottled up over the years escaped.
THIS, this was the man he'd loved, the one he'd only ever truly loved, the man who'd broken his heart, the man he never thought he'd see again, right there, right in front of him, and it scared the living daylights out of him.
Flashback
"Michael, for christ sake I'm not seeing anyone else!".
"I don't believe you Grant, I can hear him, he's in the room with you" Michaels voice shook as he held the phone to his ear, listening intently to the mans voice in the background.
"He's with you, I know he is, why are you cheating on me Grant, why?".
"I'm not fucking cheating on you Mike, how many times, that's just my roommate", a huge sigh came down the phone, "Mike, I can't be doing with this right now, I've got a major exam coming up, look I'll speak to you tomorrow ok", and the line went dead.
"Mike, who's that girl that answered your phone last night?, why was she in your room?", Grants angry voice crackled down the dodgy connection.
"She's on my course, we're just working together that's all, and yeah, what about that guy that answered YOUR phone eh?, what was that all about?".
"Mike, I told you.....!", "Yeah, Grant, and I told YOU, she's no one, she's just someone I'm working with".
Stalemate!.
There were many conversations like this, maintaining a relationship 300 miles apart isn't easy, in fact pretty much impossible.
Michael and Grant had been happy, in love, college years were the best, they laughed, they loved, they promised each other to never part.
Then university happened, miles apart the doubt had begun to creep in, mistrust took a hold, every voice in the background became a threat, every 'friend' a potential relationship wrecker, paranoia set in as both became convinced the other was cheating.
In the end.........
"Look, Mike, this isn't working is it?!".
"No Grant, it isn't!".
The call ended, and with it their relationship.
****
Michael had cried for days, holed up in his room the tears had flowed, course work abandoned, texts written to his ex lover and never sent, heart ripped and torn.
Time had passed, life had moved on, Michael had moved on, relationships came and went, but he couldn't shift the spectre of the white haired heterochromic man that had stolen his heart.
He'd tried and tried so hard, he'd committed so entirely to every single lover that had come along, only to be rejected over and over.
In the end he'd given up, given up hoping, given up trying, given up...... Loving!.
"Michael?, MICHAEL?".
Henrys booming baritone floated through the air as Michael caught his breath and made a run for the taxi rank in the marketplace, willing there to be a taxi waiting that he could just jump into and disappear.
"Micheal?", Henry looked around, thinking he'd seen him he walked a few steps around the corner and looked up the road towards the market square, not seeing the man anywhere he made his way back towards the pub.
"That was weird, wonder what got him so riled up?" Henry muttered to himself as he walked, "Henry, where did Michael go?", Antonios deep voice reached his ears as he plodded along deep in thought.
"I don't know" Henry said worriedly, "he looked like he was going to pass out when that friend of Steves spoke to him" Henry looked back over his shoulder, just to see, just in case his boss had returned, but no, he was gone.
"Who is that guy?", Antonio hugged Henry in tight as they made their way back in through the doors, back into the warm and chatter of the pub.
"He's Steves friend I think, he's a..... therapist, yeah, he's the one George went to after, well...... you know".
Henry didn't talk about Georges past in front of him, or around him, he respected his friends wish to push the past behind him.
"I think um, Blake went to him too, I don't know exactly what for, but yeah, how would Michael know him though?".
Henry pondered as they wove their way back through the crowd to the table, Steve, Nick and the white haired man now nowhere to be seen.
"Well, we're off for the night", George and Aiden grabbed their coats, slipping them on and waving goodbye to Connor and Blake they passed Henry and Antonio on their way to the door.
"Seeya Henry, catch up in the week okay?!" George smiled as he hugged his friend then the huge Italian bear beside him.
"Yeah, yeah, seeya George", Henry absent mindedly waved as his friends left.
Connor and Blake soon followed, and with all their friends gone, Henry and Antonio headed for home.
"Mio Orso you're worrying too much my bear" Antonio sighed as he drove home, "hmmmmm I guess so, but you didn't see the look on Michaels face Antonio, he was petrified" Henry sighed as they got out of the car, "look, Henry, there's nothing you can do now Mio Orso, leave it until tomorrow".
Antonio pulled his big ginger bear into his arms, snuffling into his neck he felt the shiver that ran down his husbands back.
"Ooooooh Antonio, wait until we get indoors at least" Henry chuckled then hissed as Antonios hot tongue grazed the shell of his ear.
Grabbing his husbands hardening length through his trousers, Henry smooshed his mouth onto those full red luscious lips, cupping his groaning husbands now obscenely rigid erection in one hand, digging in his pocket with the other, pulling out his keys he unlocked the door.
Crashing through and into the hallway, lips locked, jackets falling to the floor, Antonio kicked the door shut, frantically pinging open the buttons of Henrys shirt as Henry did the same, both shirts falling simultaneously to the floor in a crumpled heap.
"Ooooooh Mio Orso, oh my fucking sexy bear, get up those stairs, now!", Antonios commanding growl made Henrys length jump and twitch as his big Italian bear ground against him, hard, desperate, throbbing.
"Oh fuck, Antonio, god, ti amo, ti amo, oh god, oh please, just take me here", Henry gasped as his trousers fell to the floor, Antonios thick fingers grabbing at his boxers, those luscious red full lips sucking on his neck hungrily as his back hit the wall.
Grabbing his lovers thick waist Henry gasped, moaned, breath heaving as Antonio slid out of his trousers and boxers, kicking them off to one side, thrusting his rock hard desire against his pale lover.
"Oh god, Henry, fuck Henry, oh e cosi piacevole my bear, oh god it feels so good, I love the feel of you Mio Orso, so fucking sexy".
Antonio threw his head back as Henry dived into the crook of his neck, biting, kissing, while his hands grabbed and squeezed those beautiful tanned hairy cheeks, slipping a finger in, tickling that ring of tight twitching muscle.
"Ah AH, OH GOD, OH HENRY, OH AAAAH", Antonio gasped.
Henry shrieked loudly as suddenly he was hauled upwards, Antonios tree trunk arms, and shovel hands lifting him clean off the floor, he was no lightweight but in Antonios arms he was like a feather as the huge man held him hard against the wall.
"I'm going to take you hard Mio Orso, hang on to me" Antonio panted as Henry swung his legs up and around that thick waist, locking his feet together he gazed right into those deep dark eyes".
"Bring it on" he smirked.
"Oh I will" Antonio huffed.
Lowering his lover directly over his hard dripping length Antonio thrust up as Henry slid onto his hard rock, hands hooked over his big bears shoulders he grinned, "let's see what you've got Mio Orso" he chuckled.
"AH, OH FUCK" Henry bellowed as Antonio thrusted up, hard, pushing Henry down, setting a rhythm Henry's back hit the wall as the breath rushed out of his lungs, "ANTONIO, OH FUCK".
