Thalassa's Stolen Voice was written for a contest where participants are challenged to write a story based on a prompt set (story prompt and a trio of words), within 1500-5000 word count.

This story is set in the Realm of Nepharia, which is the fantasy world I have been building for the last three years. You will be introduced to the world if you subscribe to the Book of Zatari tier. Series title subject to change.

Summary

THALASSA'S STOLEN VOICE is a standalone fantasy short story set in the Realm of Nepharia. Thalassa is a body-double for the princess of Serenis. Her father gave her to the throne, saying it would bring the mermaid a better life. Losing her voice to an ancient arch is not a better life.
