The strange man

There was once a girl named Olivia who lived in her fathers basement at the age of 21. Olivia had no job, no friends (except for the rats), no mother, and was all alone. She had one thing, and only one, it was her heart that was full of hope things would get better.

Sadly her hope vanished slowly day by day. Till one day she had went for a walk. The walk that would change her life forever.

This particular day it was snowing hard people walking all had jackets except for Olivia. She was freezing her face is as pale as a ghost looking as if she had never seen the sun in her life time.

She had been walking for 2 hours till a middle aged man who looked to be around his mid 20s stopped her. The man said" Miss why do you not have a jacket its freezing out here and you'll catch a cold at this rate." Olivia responded" Well sir I don't have a jacket if I'm being completely honest I don't need one. I've lived my life without one and I don't need one to survive.

The man looked bewildered he looked at her as if she was a nut case and at one point he believed it but their was something about her he took interest to.

He then spoke with a sense of pity " So you've never had a jacket that seems odd. I'm sorry this world has mistreated you ever so much. I am ever so fortunate to have a big house with rooms, but sadly no one to fill them. If you would like you could stay with me. I will keep you well kept provide food, clothes, and anything else your heart desires of course with a few conditions."

Olivia looked at him in surprise never in her life had someone been so nice to her especially a complete stranger. She had her suspicions wondering why a man would offer such a thing. What would he gain from it? Is he really a nice guy or someone who wants me dead?

Olivia spoke" I appreciate your hospitality but this is to much I myself wonder what could you possible gain from someone you don't even know living under the same roof as you."

The man responded, " What I gain is losing the feeling of loneliness while I have been fortunate enough to have money and work a fine job I have no kids, no family, no parents, and no friends at that matter. He looked at her weary eyed knowing it seemed strange for a man to be so alone that he's desperate enough to let a complete stranger live with him.

Olivia looked at him staring into his blue eyes something she didn't notice before. Her mother had blue eyes when she looked into this mans eyes it reminded her of the comfort she felt ever so long ago a chance to make a new start. She had nothing to lose if death had seen fit to take her by meeting this strange man so be it. Too Olivia having regrets was way worse then anything the man could do to her.

Olivia spoke," Ill except your offer only because I have nothing to lose Ill have you know death doesn't scare me so if you ever find it in you to murder me don't have the satisfaction of taking a helpless women's life away."

He looked at her intrigued he knew that after this encounter his life would never be the same. He spoke," We'll you haven't heard my condition yet".

She looked at him wondering what he could want. She said," I agree with whatever you may want".

He said with a grin, "I want you to be mine"
