Chapter 1: Resentment
There was permanent smell of disinfectant in the hospital.Lora wood hated it the most but could no longer smell it.
Three minutes ago, the doctor had announced her death .
Lora didn't know why still have a wisp
Of consciousness.Like a ghost,she was
Full of resentment and wouldn't
dissipate
Maybe heaven deemed her stupid and let her witness of her misery .
She widened her eyes and started at
hugging couple in front of her sickbed.
The pretty woman was none other than her sister, Elisa wood ,and the dashing man was her fiance',Denny well!This dammed pair hooked up even before her body turned cold!
“Den, gentler.....you hurt me!”Elisa shyly pushed Denny.
“Where does it hurt ?show me!”Denny immediately let go of her.
At the sight of his anxious sweat,Elisa leaned against his chest contentedly
Without replying.
Denny became even more anxious,"Did you get hurt to save me? I'm calling the doctor!"
Unable to bear the sight of Denny loving holding Elisa, Lora wafted over and scratched at his shoulder.
"Denny, I saved you! It even cost me my life! How could you be deceived and fall in love with her?"
Lora used all her strength to Shake
Denny, trying to awaken him and vent her grievances, but her void hand just went through his body.
"Denny Elisa suffered a lot to save you from the kidnappers. She is your saviour,and our family lost a daughter .
Lora should not die in vain,and you owe your life to the wood family . We don't expect your requital but hope you can treat Elisa well so that Lora's spirit in heaven will be comforted!”
A middle-aged man sitting on the couch looked at Denny and said with a smile .
He was Lora's father,Henry Wood . Instead of grieving over his daughter's death,he showed gratification on his face.
“Dad! you know that I saved Denny!Why
do lie for Elisa? Denny is my fiance', and you know that I love him. Why do you step over my dead body and help my sister to get my man? But I am your biological daughter!”
In disbelief, Lora floated to Henry and let out a miserable shriek, only to find her voice audible exclusively to her. The three people in the ward not affected at all.
“Dad , you are right. I will cherish Elisa.
After going through life and death,now
I realize that Elisa is my true love. Besides,she already bore our child,so certainly I will treat her and the baby well.”
Touched by Denny's confession, Elisa smiled happily.
"Really?How long are you pregnant? Okey! We should prepare for the wedding!”
Lora snak to the floor, finding the harmonious scene absurd and ironic.
Stopping her threatening gestures, she felt powerless .
She felt aggrieved
As the real lady of the Wood family,she was replaced by Elisa at brith.
Elisa got everything, and her dead body was used as a stepping stone.
What was even more ridiculous was that
She loved the wrong man and lost her precious life!
Hatred, resentment!
Lora's numb heart was stirred, and she got up with a start. Pouncing on her body,she wanted to come back! She wanted revenge and wouldn't like to die like this!
However, time and time again, she went through the stiff body and couldn't come back!
Frantically she pounced on Denny and throttled him fiercely.
It was all vain!
Bang!
Just then,a loud noise came from behind.
Lora turned around and stopped in front of a man
This man was tall and upright. when he just stood there, the air about him was awful. His break-in was abrupt.
At the close range, Lora could see destructive resentment in his deep eyes.
