"easy slow read, makes you feel laid back, kicking back with the MC having a beer. But the mystery of every word makes you go into overdrive. Too many questions and absolutely no answers. Loved it! Thank you for sharing."

"The vivid description in this story puts the reader right there in the protagonist's world. The dialog is spot on-- @newplayer has a terrific ear. The story as a whole feels like the build up to a conflict. Excellent building of tension via small details. Since the protagonist and Mr. Gerry and Everett are so vividly drawn, they're with me.
