An excellent, authentic piece!

"The social criticism and agony are skillfully delivered in a sardonic manner and are very enjoyable to read, eliciting chuckles along the way. As always, the writer is authentic in his conveyance. Light and smooth in the storytelling, yet emotionally deep and engaging. It delivers a profound message through whimsical irony. Excellent!"

Immersive

"Professor J, Has really captured the reality of homelessness, a social hierarchy within homelessness, and the awareness around the lack of support for people who don’t fit the societal narrative of “what homelessness is”. Well showcasing this all in this great short story; that reminded me why I use to love reading."

Awesome storytelling!

"Once again Professor J never fails to deliver a good story. The way he described how wandering America homeless seems like a better alternative than being a slave to the system really speaks volumes."

Unexpected and riveting

"The author does it once again. He takes you along on a journey with him. You feel his emotion, as he describes his surroundings. This story will not disappoint. This well written and heart-wrenching view of homelessness will leave you with a check in your spirit the next time you see a homeless person."

A Story That Covers Real Issues

"The author gave us a short story covering the real issue of the treatment of the homeless. It was nice to see how the author separated the psyche of the 3 homeless characters that were introduced. Ranging from acceptance of one's situation to hopelessness. This is a story that can help readers reflect on their own treatment of others despite that person's current circumstances. I would've liked to see the author play with his words a little more to help the audience connect with the main character a bit more however, by the third chapter I realize the goal wasn't to connect to the main character as much as it was to see the story through his eyes. I think that the author was very intentional with his work. I hope he continues to write stories!"
