Short Story

Once on a ship was travelling a king who had never experienced Calamity before. The ship was facing a storm. The king was making a lot of disturbance for everyone on board. "Oh my God, this is not how I Should end. - I am the king of such a big state" he cried. "I don't know how to swim. This will be the end of me. Alas! Someone please help me."

This was very problematic for the other people on board, but they wouldn't dare say a thing to the king as he was the king. " We're gonna be fine, your Majesty. Rest assured please." said one of his viziers. But the king would not listen to anyone. "Oh no, we are all doomed and drowned.", he cried out loud.

In this condition the captain of the came forward and ordered to throw the king into the water. Everyone was shocked but the captain's order were to be followed and the king got thrown into the water. He cried, complained and cursed the ship, the storm and the captain. He was drowning and everyone was seeing this unfolding in front of their eyes. A few seconds after he was pulled back. The king stayed totally silent after coming back onboard throughout the rest of the journey and did not make a single noise after that.

A person inquired about this strange behavior from the captain. He said, a man does not know about the safety of the boat unless he has experienced drowning waters. You appreciate safety only when you have experienced true fears.
