She was 6 years old. She had just gotten home from school and was all excited for her birthday party…. When it happened…. The wolves came… they were finally able to break through their defenses. Their last attack took out their Luna. They had been at war for years but this attack was different. They were out for blood. Her parents barely got to react before she watched the Alpha rip their bodies apart. She quickly hid under her coat, behind her school bag. She used one of the first spells she was taught. She blocked out her smell so the wolf couldn’t find her. She breathed slower to slow down her heart so she couldn’t be heard. She just sat there… frozen. Being completely numb after what she saw, all she could register was the screams of her people being slaughtered in the streets… after that night…. She just didn’t feel…
