Prologue
“Hey..” The single word that brought everything I had built up come crashing down.
I had tried to leave everything behind, tried to let my past stay as my past, tried to forget everything, to start anew.
And, in a single second, everything came back. Everything I had worked so hard to forget.
I clench my fists.
“Yes?” I ask.
“Juvelle.” He says.
I flinch. “Pardon?”
He smiles. “Juvelle. Juvelle..”
“I'm sorry, I have an appointment. I have to go,” I say, packing my things up and standing up.
“You do not leave.” He says, reaching a hand out to grip my wrists, holding me back.
“Sir, please. This is uncomfortable and I would like to leave now,” I say, standing my ground.
He cocks his head. “Uncomfortable, huh? I can show you what's really ‘uncomfortable’.”He replies, smirking.
God. I feel my lips trembling. I look down.
I grit my teeth and wrangle my hand out of his grip. “I’ll excuse myself." I say as I leave the room hurriedly.
Why? Why did you have to show up now?
