Prologue
A young girl woke up in the middle of the night, drenched in a cold sweat from a recurring nightmare, a mystery that had plagued her since childhood.
“Bella! You need to get up!”
Bella shivered from the harshness of the female voice whom she had been staying with since she was first brought into the foster system.
When both of her parents gave up their rights to her to the state of Arizona and attend the rehab for drug addicts.
She quickly dressed and gathered what little she had to take with her since she would now live with a couple in another part of Arizona in a smaller town than she knew.
She hefted her small bag onto her small back and left the room to meet with her social worker.
“Hello, Bella. Are you ready to go?” Bella silently nodded and followed the lady in the suit towards her car.
She sat in the back, placing her petite bag on her lap and thinking about the dream and its meaning.
She has never told anyone about her gifts, seeing how it has freaked out many people and caused them to fear her and see her as a freak.
She hopes that one day she can do something to help others even though she has accepted her gifts and herself, knowing that, at fourteen, she may be different from other kids her age.
Bella closed her eyes, leaning against the window, realizing the place she was heading to was from her dreams.
“Bella, we have arrived.” Bella opened her eyes, and she felt her body shiver in fear.
She looked around the small town she was in and the same little diner from her nightmares.
She now realizes what was happening, seeing how the many boys and girls she has seen in her visions and dreams must all come from this place.
She stepped out, hugging the small bag to her chest, not knowing what to do or whom she could trust with this detail.
Something dark was happening here, and no one knew.
Bella walked into the small diner with their social worker, wondering why they were meeting in a place like this, not their home.
Her eyes widened, and she saw a huge, muscular, tattooed man wearing a leather cut sitting with the evil woman from her visions.
She calmed down her racing heart, wondering what this was and if this was a sign to try and help find all of those missing young boys and girls.
The man is sitting at the table with his old lady, whom he has had difficulty being around for the last few years.
He was one of the many enforcers of the Devil Ghouls MC here in San Luis.
All he has ever wanted is to have a child of his own or even foster and then adopt when the time comes.
The Devil Ghouls MC has helped keep this town safe until the many disappearances of young teenagers have been happening more and more.
They are dangerous fuckers when they need to be and give their kind of justice to those who dare come and terrorize their peaceful small town or try to attack the MC family.
He shook his head when he heard a tiny patter of feet come near them, and his eyes softened when he saw the most beautiful little girl staring at him with dull, dark green eyes.
He silently cursed, feeling pissed that some fuckers had hurt this little girl in some way, and now she looked scared, and he only wanted her to feel at home and safe around them, even though he would rather, instead, adopt her by himself.
He slowly got up to his scary height of six foot six and crouched to her height, not wanting her to feel scared with him, and he held his hand out for her to take.
Bella watched the giant man come up to her, and she was surprised that a hard-ass biker would crouch and hold his hand out, giving her a choice.
She tilted her head side to side in thought, wondering if, if she did accept him, he could help her, and perhaps she could have a home.
She pressed her shaky hand into his large, tatted one, staring him in the eyes, trying to figure out if she could trust him and if what she found was the truth.
She softly gave him a small smile, blushing when he returned his own.
“Hello, little one, my name is Beast; what is yours?”
Bella stared at him, biting her lower lip, wondering if she should talk even though she had not spoken in a long time.
“B-Bella,” Bella softly stuttered, jumping when a loud sound scared her.
Without thinking, she wrapped her arms around the large man’s neck, hiding her scared face in his shoulder.
Beast was shocked, to say the least, when the little girl spoke to him and then latched herself to him to feel safe.
He gently wrapped her in his arms and picked her up, placing her on his left hip. He knew she was small for her age, fourteen.
