The conference room was dimly lit,with a long table dominating the space.The charismatic man, Siddharth singhania ,his eyes fixed on his phone.The girls,Aisha and anvi,walked in ,their resumes clutched tightly in their hands.
Siddharth looked up,his gaze piercing , "So,you are the new applicants?"
Anvi smiled nervously,"Yes sir,I am Anvi and this is aisha"
Aisha nodded.
Siddharth said"Take your seats ,please"
Siddharth: ( looking at their resumes )So anvi,what makes you think you are qualified to manage events for Kalyani group?
Anvi: Well sir, with my degree in Hospitality Management and certification in Event Planning, I have a solid foundation in coordinating events. My previous experience has taught me attention to detail, creativity, and effective communication. And, my mother was an event manager herself, and I grew up seeing her work. I think her experience and expertise have rubbed off on me, and I've learned a lot from her.
Siddharth: (raising an eyebrow) Your mother, huh? That's interesting. But let me tell you something, Anvi. Your mother's reputation won't get you far in this company. You're not going to coast on her success. You need to prove yourself, on your own merit.
Anvi: (taken aback) I understand, sir. I'm not expecting any special treatment. I just meant that my upbringing has given me a unique perspective and skillset.
Siddharth: (leaning forward) Perspective and skillset, huh? That's great. But in this industry, it's not just about ideas and creativity. It's about execution, attention to detail, and delivering results under pressure. Your mother may have been great at her job, but that doesn't mean you will be. You need to prove yourself, Anvi. And I'm not going to go easy on you just because of who your mother is.
Anvi: (firmly) I understand, sir. And I'm ready for the challenge.
Siddharth: (leaning back) We'll see about that. Aisha, what about you? What makes you think you're qualified to coordinate marketing efforts for Kalyani Group?
Aisha: (calmly) My background in marketing and analytics has given me a solid understanding of consumer behavior and campaign optimization. I believe my skills will help elevate Kalyani Group's brand presence.
Siddharth: (skeptical) I see. Well, ladies, it's not just about qualifications. It's about fitting in with our team and understanding our vision. Can you work together, take direction, and deliver results under pressure?
Anvi: (firmly) Yes, sir. We're a team, and we're ready for the challenge.
Aisha: (nodding) We complement each other's strengths and weaknesses, sir. Together, we'll deliver exceptional results.
Siddharth: (pausing) Very well. I'll be in touch soon to let you know our decision.
(Aisha and Anvi exchange a hopeful glance as they leave the interview room)
After leaving the interview room Aisha asked Anvi "how rudely he was behaving with you when you mentioned about your mom"
Anvi answer calmly :
"Let it go, it's good anyway, because if we get selected, I already know I'll have to deal with that rude boss, so I'll just focus on my work and avoid unnecessary conversations."
