Summary

Mediniss the Assassin King follows the journey of a man, who rises from poverty and injustice to become a formidable figure in his kingdom. The harsh streets taught him the art of combat, but it was a monk who gave him immortality and shaped him into the formidable assassin he became. Initially, Mediniss plies his trade as a hired killer, but a change of heart leads him to challenge the oppressive rule of an evil king. Through cunning and combat prowess, he overthrows the tyrant and ascends to the throne himself. Despite his newfound status as king, Mediniss never forgets his roots as an assassin, maintaining a multifaceted identity shaped by both his past and present roles.

He earned a formidable reputation for his unparalleled skill in eliminating any target. What others found impossible, he accomplished with ease. If someone was deemed untouchable, he was the one to call. His expertise and prowess were unmatched. When he learned that the second most dangerous criminal, Utz Ma Gi, had been set free in exchange for the whereabouts of an allegedly more dangerous criminal, it piqued his interest.

When the authorities went to apprehend the supposed dangerous criminal, they discovered that the exchange was a fraud: the individual Utz Ma Gi had implicated was merely a 13-year-old deaf and blind boy. This discovery left him questioning everything - why would Utz Ma Gi agree to such a deal? And why did the authorities blindly believe it without investigating further? Most prisoners believed the deal wasn’t actually false and that nothing was as it seemed.

The family of a prominent girl slain by Utz Ma Gi hired Mediniss to eliminate him. No one escapes Yarek Island, and freedom isn’t granted unless you are Ipsum the Engineer. As Mediniss faced the task of eliminating yet another villain, he couldn’t help but wonder if anything in his world was truly black and white. Even on Yarek Island, where nothing and no one escaped, there seemed to be hidden layers and conflicting truths beneath the surface. And amidst all this chaos and deception, he must first helm through the dangerous political turmoil and deceit within his own court as a king in order to uncover the truth. When he learns about the existence of various supernatural beings, he is faced with difficult choices that test both his moral code as an assassin and his responsibilities as a ruler.
