Summary

It’s a cliché story: the girl falls for the soccer captain, who just so happens to be the arch-rival of her old school and the sworn enemy of her friends. To make matters worse, his friends can’t stand her and give her icy glares whenever they see her. That girl is me, and that boy is Hayden King. Even though I’m drawn to Hayden, I try to keep my distance from my camp counselor-turned-boyfriend. It’s not just to avoid the death stares from the Hillcrest kids, but also because my friends from Lindale often drop by the camp to check on me. Though I suspect their real motive is to mess with and prank the Hillcrest kids. Staying away from Hayden is proving to be nearly impossible, especially now that I’m the newest member—and the only girl—on his soccer team. Dodging his irresistible smile, perfect eyes, and infuriatingly charming smirk is a full-time job, especially when he keeps teasing me and stealing kisses when I least expect it. Caught between loyalty to my friends and my feelings for Hayden, I’m constantly torn. But when you and your boyfriend are surrounded by people who disapprove of your relationship, what choices do you really have?
