"Liquid Voice reads like a light-hearted fable pepperred with the gritty realism of the Yakuza. An interesting take on mermaid culture, this story explores asian folklore in a manner that isn't too overbearing on the reader. The prose is tasteful, and the pacing well done. Good job to both authors for coming up with such a coherent and wholesome story!"
Wonderful Mix of Myth and Modern
"Today's myth-focused fiction usually focuses on creating modern stories with fantastical elements. It's rare to find a story that feels like a modern myth in the making, but Liquid Voice does. Rei's character arch serves as something of a modern morality tale, punishing her with perils for misbehavior and rewarding her with supernatural blessings as she makes better choices. Through her hero's journey, Rei evolves and grows while changing the world about her like so many mythological heroes that came before. Lovely read. Highly recommend."
