"Almost every one of us has had issues with our families and Michelle, Harper and Yousef are no exceptions. This story has done an exceptional job of showing how each of the characters suffer and deal with their family issues without being overly critical of them. There are unexpected twists and turns along the way-much like in real life families-not always resolved but sometimes surprisingly satisfactorily dealt with. I am looking forward to the follow-up story and curious about what happens with the three main characters and how it plays out with their respective families. I’m sure I’ll enjoy it just as much as I did the story of ‘Love and Loss.’"

"An absolute underrated gem! Michelle is relatable as a character, flawed but hard to dislike. And Yousef. We’ve only actually seen very little of Yousef but he is such a sweet guy. He’s already captured my heart. Perhaps because I was also an international student who worked so much because I didn’t want to worry my family? It’s definitely the cultural affinity (yes, I may be biased). Michelle's relationship with Linh is also incredibly nuanced and relatable. I barely held back my tears... I don't wanna give any spoilers, but that scene definitely took my breath away. Please do yourself a favor and read this work. It’s more than a romance. It’s about acceptance. Connecting. Healing! "

"Honestly love this book so far and It's only chapter 1! The introduction of so many different backgrounds is so interesting but also doesn't overload you so it's not a flat story but also not too colourful and it makes my brain tickle ngl. Also the writing is super great! Easy to understand but not child level. LOVE LOVE LOVE 10/10"
