"I am absolutely in love with this story. The relationship between Michelle, the human girl, and Cole, the Alpha, is beautifully depicted. The sweetest part is that despite everything Dorian took from her, Michelle transformed from a weak human into a strong individual. Even while Cole lay incapacitated in Como for years, she found the strength to prepare for war against Dorian and his pack of werewolves. She not only represented her werewolf family as their leader during the war, but she also showed incredible resilience. Dorian's greatest mistake was not killing her when he had her under his control; instead, he chose to break her both physically and emotionally. This ignited a powerful spirit of revenge within her, which ultimately led to Dorian's downfall and his death at her hands. The idea of a human girl defeating an Alpha werewolf is truly impressive. It was heartwarming to see Cole standing by and watching Michelle fight and win her battles. Michelle handing Jack over to Cole to get his revenge was really impressive. "

"I really enjoyed this story although parts of it were hard for me. Michele, a main character, went through many atrocities that involved the abuse of her body by men. She was also subject to extreme abuse of her psyche. It is hard to believe that women still live in situations similar to those revealed in this story. As I walked with Michele through all her experiences and losses I wept with her and I cheered for her victories. I also cheered for Cole because he is so considerate and conscientious of Michele. He supports her any way he can, and it’s his love for her that carries her through the heartbreak she suffers. This story is certainly focused on justice. It is a vigilante type of justice, but in this case it is not wrong. The characters are well developed and brought to life by their dialogue and by the story itself. Overall, this is an exciting story that details a woman’s journey from helplessness to invulnerability with her own determination and the support of her man and friends. "
