PROLOGUE
In the beginning were two gods. Chaos and Order. Chaos and Order were the gods of destruction and creation respectively. They reigned over the earth and kept it safe and peaceful. However, Chaos had never like humanity. He believed that humanity was a torn in the flesh of the earth. He believed that we as a whole, were the cause of any bad thing or bad omen that happened on earth. Diseases, earthquakes, hurricanes, floods. Chaos was convinced that without us, the earth will be a much better place for all animals and plants. However, Order always thought otherwise. To Order, humanity was good. He believed that humanity had saved the earth with all its creations. He believed that all human beings had a good heart. Taking pity upon us, Order begged his brother to help him save humanity from all the destruction it was ongoing. He wanted them to join forces and destroy every single evil on the earth. He wanted to make the earth a safe haven for all living things. But Chaos refused. Believing human beings were nothing but the evil that was destroying the earth they so much loved, he wanted to watch us self-destruct until there was nothing left of us. From Order’s point of view, the earth was nothing without humans. We were an essential part of the earth’s evolution and maintenance. Without us, earth was nothing than a mass of land. From Chaos point of view, earth could evolve but only if us humans were eradicated. Human beings were the reason why the earth was dying, and if we were left on earth long enough at some point, they’ll be nothing left to call earth. We were not an essential part but the main reason why the earth wasn’t evolving.
In the end, a fight broke out between the two brothers. Chaos won and thus took the final decision which was not to save humanity. But Order was too kind-hearted. He decided he wasn’t going to let humanity self-destruct because he was sure they were good people on earth.
Order came upon the earth when humanity was at its worst. Diseases, floods, desertification, wars and many more were about to get the better of us. But he came down and granted all human beings blessings. He blessed us such that we could gain immense power, so as to evolve and preserve ourselves. Some gained super strength, other the ability to perform extraordinary things, others the ability to fly high in the sky like birds and many more. The human race was now stronger and at the peak of its form. We were stronger and better, and we were happy. However, within this evolution there were some people who didn’t mute into anything. They simply remained human. But it didn’t matter, human or surhuman everyone was equal in the world of evolution Order created and thus we all moved on together.
Humanity was all gathered under one kingdom and continent. We were ruled by a single leader and we lived in peace and harmony. They were no outcast, burglars or anything evil. It was as though Order had recreated God’s Garden of Eden before Eve ate the apple and destroyed their peace. Everyone was equal and thus there was no demarcation between the rich and the poor. We all had equal riches. They weren’t even any problems to solve anymore, the king’s only use was to lead the people through the right path. He was in fact the chosen one of Order himself. Indeed, Order had succeeded to create a safe haven for all humans on the earth.
But things changed.
On the 31st July 1890, something fell from the sky. It was a very normal day for unusual days didn’t exist anymore back then. Suddenly the sky got all dark and from above a figure was seen. It looked like a god. As people laid eyes on it, it was as though timed had stopped. Everything was silent and no one moved in that moment. But something was definitely off. Everyone was definitely off. I guess in that moment every single human being on earth thought one thing.
Chaos.
After that, a war broke out. There was no particular aim I guess. People simply fought to quench their thirst for blood. It was as though human beings had all gone back to their primitive stage. There was no room for the weak here. It was now a world where only the strong survived and the weak were killed. Family bonds didn’t exist anymore. Brothers killed brothers, sisters killed sisters, parents killed their children and the children killed their parents. The world was purely made of destruction and chaos. There was even nothing like a king anymore to lead the people. People followed their own lead and served their own selves. The continent was divided into pieces. The kingdom had fallen and the king was dethroned and killed. There was no peace anymore and the safe haven Order had created was about to be destroyed completely leaving not even ashes behind. Humanity was at the bream of extinction.
Forty years later, the war ended.
Most of the earth had been destroyed. The continent was about to be devoid of human life. Humanity’s population had been reduced to more than half its number. We were now an endangered species. But there was a change. People had changed. The part of humanity that was left, was made up of the strongest people. In this new world, the weak and useless had been extinct and only the strong were left behind. From there they started building back. They took back what was left of the earth and built another one.
The blessings Order granted were turned into curses. Some people became unable to eat and were only hungry for blood, others turned into wolves during the full moon and ate whatever they saw, others had to sacrifice a lot to perform lifesaving magical tricks, and they were many more. But human beings, throughout ancient times have always been experts in evolution and adaption. So that’s what we did. We adapted to our powers now turned to curses so as to be able to live peacefully. However, in this whole midst only a few were still able to call themselves humans.
The humans believed that the part of humanity which had muted was the cause of the bloodlust and war which had destroyed humanity this far. So, they took matters into their hands. Behind the scenes they studied their enemies, saw their strengths and weaknesses and made it their own strengths. They created various weapons to destroy the mutants and eradicate them from the face of the earth. They started eradicating them one by one, until powerless people, considered normal were the ordinary once more. The mutant numbers reduced considerably until just a small handful of them were left. But humans remain humans whether mutants or not. We’re driven by one desire. Even through the war were the only thing that mattered was bloodlust people didn’t fight only to kill but they also fought for one more reason. Their desire to survive. Our desire to survive will push us forward in which ever circumstance. The evolved people decided to gather the remaining branch of them that was left and ensure their survival. They lived in the hiding but at least they were able to survive and adapt to this new living conditions. They were surviving and that’s all that mattered. In this situation, they were aware of the fact that they were less than humans and that they needed to do their best to avoid any conflicts which will push humans to discover them again and try to destroy them completely this time. The evolved people had to learn to control themselves in regards to the human beings left on earth. At that point in time, they knew it was best not to reduce humanity’s population any further, humans or not. So, human beings above built back and made back the world into the one we know now. While the new specie of people, mutants stayed in the hiding avoiding any conflict which could lead to their final extinction.
At least, that’s what the legend says.
