"Hi! I followed you from Wattpad originally and AO3 so glad to find you here! I personally love long chapters, so this book did not deter me in the slightest. I like the depth of the characters; we see Kaid grow from someone who relies on others on how to think, act, and is influenced by those he finds trustworthy, and with Jessamine, there's a spark to her we otherwise may not see if not for Kaid's presence. I like how the two grow together but also speak to their own characters separately, meaning they aren't extremely reliant on each other. Reliant, but not too much. I like the writing style a lot; its descriptive without going full-blown epic fantasy or worldbuilding where one can get exhausted. I personally like lore and background so it's a great fit for me.The dialogue and tension between characters is palpable, which makes reading it easy and flows well. Last thought: I think some people might have an issue with Kaid being our narrator, but I always love the sense that our narrator may not be reliable or just human. They are fallible with their introspection that reflects the story in his eyes, and I like how we see Jessamine in his eyes, particularly at the end of this story. "
