Chapter 1

My name is Benjamin Turne, and I’m a student at the Academy of Magic. Although I’m not really interested in magic, somehow I got here. I don’t get much respect at the academy, or should I say I don’t get noticed. I don’t have any friends, except for the stone that once saved my life. After this unusual color of stone I ducked behind him and the arrow of a sloppy student from a circle of archers passed me. Since then, he’s my only friend. today I decided to skip the last lesson. when I went home saw a strange light. For a moment I followed him. I soon looked back and realized that I was lost. I walked through the bushes and saw a city I’d never seen before. Before I knew it, I heard someone’s voice:

- hello.

When I turned around, I saw a redheaded girl wearing a green dress.

- hello.

I replied embarrassed

- Are you a tourist?

- no. I just stumbled upon this town when I got lost.

- Strange, the nearest town is so far away, how long have you been wandering in these woods?

- One day.

- Are you kidding? You can’t walk here in one day.

- No, it’s not a joke.

- Where are you from?

- I’m from indicity.

Suddenly she smiled and gave me a tour of the city.

- This is the fairy academy where I and the other fairies go to school.

- Wait, fairies? Are you a fairy? I don’t believe you. If you’re a fairy, where are your wings?

She smiled and showed me her back and I saw something unimaginable. The wings reflected the light of the sun and they had a beautiful shape that I can’t describe in words.

- а...

I stared at her back with my mouth open.

with flushed cheeks, she slapped my face.

- d-don’t embarrass me, you fool.

- Oh, I’m sorry.

- and this is where the adventurers' office is.

she pointed her finger at a high-rise building.

- Adventurers? What does that mean?

- It means they help people and have adventures, you idiot.

- Why idiot? Is it so obvious?

- Yes, idiot!

We were walking along and she was going on and on about each building.

- That's all very interesting, but how do I get home?

- You can't go back, not yet.

- Why not?

- We don’t have a map or a compass, these things are hard to come by in this town.

-Don’t you have guides?

- were... they were missing when they dropped off a tourist. That was yesterday. You came here at a bad time, idiot.

- Is idiot my name now?

- No, it just really suits you.

- What am I supposed to do? Stay here?

- You can always leave, no one's keeping you here, but if you want to live, stay here until you find a way out.

- Where am I supposed to live?

- I'll help you with that.

- Why would you do that? You like m-.

She put her hand over my mouth and looked me in the eye and smiled.

- No, I'm just kind.

After that we went to her house. It was a wooden building with a flat roof, and next to it was a vegetable garden and a barn.

She grabbed me by the arm and dragged me into the barn. There was a mattress inside.

- Should I sleep here?

- Relax, you'll only sleep here tonight. Tomorrow I'll try to find you a place to stay.

- Sorry for the sudden question, but do you live here alone?

- Yes. I'm going to go, I'm very tired.

- Okay, good night!

I yelled to her, lying on the mattress.
