We didn’t know what was coming
“Hehe! Silly puppy.” Grace said. Grace was playing with Maggie in the front yard. It was VERY hot. Suddenly , Grace started staring at the wall made of dirt. It was huge. Although , Grace wasn’t so sure that the wall was gonna keep out anything if anything DOES come. “Grace! Can you come inside?” Her mother- Kristy shouted from the kitchen window. “OKAY MOM!” Grace shouted back , almost too loud. Grace picked up Maggie and raced back inside. “Hunny can you listen to the radio and see if anything comes up on the weather?” Kristy said , out of breath from all the baking. “Yeah mom!” Said grace. Audrey suddenly came waddling in. “Babble-Babble” Audrey said. Audrey was only 1. Meanwhile , Grace was 9. “Our Meteorologists have discovered there is going to be a hurricane.” The newsman said. “Mom there’s gonna be a hurricane.” Grace said , not a bit worried. “Alright hunny. Get ready to evacuate.” Kristy said also not worried. “Mom is it gonna be a BAD hurricane?” Grace said , feeling a little more aware now. “I don’t think so. New Orleans hasn’t had a bad hurricane in 50 years.” Kristy replied , unaware. 1 hour later.. “OKAY GRACE GET AUDREY AND GET IN THE CAR!!” Kristy said. Grace picked up Audrey and got in the car. When they got to the bridge the line of cars seemed to be stretched out for forever. Grace was reading her book when she saw something in the corner of her eye. She turned her head to look and saw throw up all over Audrey. Kristy and Grace glanced the same look. The one that said “There is no way in h*ll we’ll be able to drive 3 hours with Audrey sick.” Sure enough , Kristy turned the car around and went home. Grace looked at the clock.

“9:30.” She read. She planned to stay up all night watching Dance Moms. Now she looked at the clock again a few hours later. “2:00 ?!” She turned off the tv when she heard something. It was like a wooooossshhh. But it wasnt wind. She lifted up one of the shudders and saw a bunch of water. She quickly closed the shudder. She then locked the door.
