Saratoga
I woke up to the sound of the TV and no clue as to what happened last night, something that seems to occur every morning lately. I wake up every day with absolutely no clue what happened and how I ended up on the couch. Before you ask, no, I do not drink, and I have never touched drugs once in my life. Recent events, however, are tempting me. I kicked off the heels I still had on and tossed off my heavy leather jacket from my shoulder. I turned up the volume of the television a little bit to listen to what our local news station had to say about the recent disappearance before making my way to the kitchen to make a cup of tea.
"Breaking news; yet again another disappearance. Yesterday evening at 6 pm, 11-year-old Michelle and 15-year-old Clara left home wanting to go buy candy from the candy shop only to never return. Police looked at CCTV cameras this morning and saw Clara and Michelle leaving the candy shop. They watched as Clara was trying to pull Michelle in the direction of their home, yet Michelle kept refusing. Clearly, she wanted to go elsewhere. Clara finally gave in, and the girls started to walk toward the famous Congress Park. Another CCTV camera not too far from the one across the candy shop saw Michelle constantly looking behind them. Clara stopped walking and looked behind at what Michelle was looking at, but then Michelle started pulling her again, probably desperately wanting to go to the park. The girls kept walking, but another CCTV camera showed the girls stopping once again by the parking lot behind the hotel. They seemed frozen, shocked, and scared. The CCTV could not see what exactly the girls were afraid of, but Clara quickly grabbed Michelle's hand, and they are seen running as fast as they can away from the scene, dropping the candy bag in the process. Saratoga parents are worried because this is the second disappearance this week, and it's only Wednesday. Remember to keep searching for Leonardo too, as well as Lexi, Cameron, Michael, Susan, Allison, Brianna, Brandon, Cassie, Lucy, Landon, and Jessie. Keep your eyes out for the missing posters and keep your children safe and look out for each other because the devil is in Saratoga."

"The devil is in Saratoga! The devil is in Saratoga!" John watches the hysteria that has been caught by the people of Saratoga. Women, children, the poor and the rich, the old, the young. The people are losing hope. This has been a series of unfortunate events. Right now, the town of Saratoga is currently gathered around to wish farewell to Oryn and pay his young widowed mother condolences. Poor, poor Cordelia. She just lost her husband not even a week ago. His body was found at the bottom of the stream, and his throat was cut right open. Now she has to say goodbye to her 8-year-old son who was found hanging from a tree.
"This is for sure witchery!" an elderly woman cries out. "The devil is in Saratoga!"
Cordelia weeps and weeps as her mother and dear sister hold on to her tightly. John looks down at his feet sadly. He feels sorry for the poor woman and for Saratoga. Because if the devil really is in Saratoga, what can they do other than pray?
