Chapter 1: Sneaking Out Of The House.

On a pristine, sunny summer day in the quaint town of Salem, a house nestled within a shaded, gated neighborhood with a canopy of trees, Brittney Jenson was engrossed in conversation with her best friend, Stacey Kramer, over the telephone. Meanwhile, her 10-year-old younger brother, Brian Jenson, was fully immersed in constructing with his Erector Set in his bedroom. While Their Mother named Helen Jenson had left the house to run her errands, Brittney chatted animatedly with her friend Stacey for more than an hour, completely unaware of Brian's clandestine plans. Determined to slip out of the house, Brian skillfully made his move. Despite knowing he should not venture out alone, he anticipated his sister's objections. Donning his vibrant red sneakers and his trusty Lucky Red Baseball Cap, he snatched his football, ready for adventure. Gently pushing open his bedroom door, he hesitated momentarily, then boldly grasped the doorknob and stepped into the unknown. Surveying the room, he cautiously peered around, searching for any trace of his elder Sister within the confines of the house. He was aware that she believed he was in his bedroom.

Brian began his journey by strolling through the doorway of his bedroom. He gently closed the door behind him, then proceeded down the hallway, through the living room, and towards the front door. With caution, he opened the door leading to the outside world, stepped through, and closed it behind him. Continuing on, he shut the storm door, crossed the front porch, descended the steps, and made his way to the sidewalk. As he ventured away from his home, he felt the thrill of tossing the football into the air and skillfully catching it. He was immersed in the moment, unaware of the eyes following his every move. Kathleen Palmer was behind the wheel of her vibrant red Hyundai Elantra, turning the corner gracefully as she navigated down the street. Her gaze fell upon Brian, strolling on the sidewalk, effortlessly tossing the football into the air and catching it skillfully. Mesmerized, she observed the fluidity of his body's motion and the elegant curves it traced. Enamored by him, she indulged in carnal daydreams, entertaining the idea of abducting him and bringing him to her lair, where she would keep him captive and subject him to her desires.

Determined to execute her plan, she proceeded to drive down the street until she reached her destination. Parking her vibrant red 4-door Hyundai Elantra on the sidewalk's edge, she turned off the engine and calmly reached for the items inside her middle glove compartment. Carefully selecting a folded map, a sleek handgun, and some durable grey duct tape, she discreetly stashed the handgun and tape in her pocket. With a steady hand, she opened the driver's door, exited the driver's seat, and confidently made her way towards Brian, who had paused to watch her approach.

"Pardon me, I seem to have lost my way. Could you kindly direct me to the main street? Regrettably, it eluded my search on the map.?", Kathleen asked as she opened the folded-up map.

"Absolutely, without a doubt.", Brian answered as he was looking at the map.

As Brian's gaze fixated on the map, his mind began to wander. Kathleen brandished the handgun, seizing Brian's arm and pressing the weapon against his stomach. His face was a mix of surprise and fear as he gazed at her. The football slipped from his grasp, and his cherished red baseball cap tumbled from his head.

"Don't make a sound, I won't hurt you", Kathleen said in a low voice.

Leading Brian to her vibrant red 4-door Hyundai Elantra, she guided him to the rear driver's side door. Kathleen deftly opened the door and compelled Brian to lie down on his stomach across the backseat. With Grey Duct Tape in hand, she began the meticulous task of securing Brian's mouth with the same Grey Duct Tape. Brian's eyes widened as he came to the frightening realization that he was on the brink of being kidnapped. He had been warned by his mom not to engage in conversation with strangers. Kathleen began to roll him over, deftly positioning his wrists behind his back and securing them tightly with duct tape. Brian winced as he felt the tape cinching around his wrists. Kathleen gently let her fingers glide over his arms. As she began meticulously wrapping duct tape around his ankles, Brian could sense the gradual tightness setting in, causing a peculiar sensation to creep up his legs. As she gazed upon the back of Brian's legs, she began moving her hand in a gentle caress along his lower back and calves. tracing her fingers along his velvety skin. Brian was taken aback as he came to the unsettling realization that he was being manipulated and taken advantage of by her. Brian slowly closed his eyes, he wished that he hadn't left the house, he wished that he was back at the house with his mom and older sister. Kathleen gently placed Brian on the plush backseat floorboard of the sleek Hyundai Elantra.

"You're going to lay down here", Kathleen said.

With a swift motion, she retrieved a substantial blanket from the trunk of her Hyundai Elantra and carefully draped it over Brian's body. After ensuring his body was covered, she closed the back door and settled back into the driver's seat. With determination in her eyes, she closed the driver's side door and embarked on her journey away from the sidewalk ledge. About an hour later, Helen, the mother of Brittney and Brian, returned to the Jenson House. She was laden with a grocery bag brimming with provisions.

"Brittney, Brian, I have arrived home.", Helen called.

As Helen began to put away the groceries, Britteney entered the kitchen and caught sight of her mom. With eagerness, she began assisting her mom in organizing the groceries, Helen didn't realize something was amiss until a sudden epiphany struck her.

"Brittney, have you seen Brian around?", Helen asked.

"My dear mother, alas, I have not laid eyes on him. Perhaps he is nestled in the confines of his bedroom.", Brittney answered.

"I'll go look and see if he's in his bedroom", Helen said.

Helen ascended the stairs and traversed the hallway until she arrived at Brian's closed bedroom door. Placing her hand on the doorknob, she knocked on the wooden barrier, allowing her knuckles to rap against the sturdy surface as she turned the handle.

"Brian, I am home. Brian", Helen said as she looked into his empty bedroom.

Surprised to discover Brian was missing from his bedroom, she noticed his unfinished erector set of a dinosaur. Frantically searching for her little boy, she called out his name in a panic. Frantically searching, she scoured the upstairs to no avail. Undeterred, she descended to the lower level, yet he remained elusive. Determined, she ventured into the backyard, but still, he evaded her. She began dialing the parents of Brian's friends on the telephone, eager to determine his whereabouts. However, his friend's parents had not laid eyes on him.

"Brittney, I'm unable to locate your little brother anywhere. You must assist me in the search for him.", Helen said.

Helen and Britteny ventured down the bustling sidewalk, their eyes scanning the crowd in search of Brian. Only upon discovering his football and favored red baseball cap had been left unattended on the sidewalk did they come to a halt. Helen scooped up the football and the fortunate red baseball cap, cradling them in her arms. A sudden wave of realization washed over her as she discovered that her son, Brian, had vanished.

In a suburban house seven blocks away, just beyond the rumbling railroad tracks, a terrified and anxious Brian lay on the bed in a dimly lit bedroom, tears flowing down his cheeks as he whispered to himself.

"I want to go home, I want to go home, I want to go home", Brian said to himself.

Exploring the bedroom, his eyes landed on an array of treasures: toys, games, stuffed animals, and a bookshelf complete with a collection of books. On top of the dresser were impressive model ships and airplanes, proudly displayed on the dresser-drawer. Brian noticed that the bedroom windows were sealed shut with dark shades and strips of duct tape. The curtains were drawn tightly to prevent him from catching a glimpse outside. Brian noticed the bedroom door was closed, Suddenly, muffled footsteps could be heard approaching outside the bedroom door. The doorknob rattled and turned, and in walked Kathleen Palmer. She closed the door behind her and fixed her gaze on Brian, who remained lying on his side atop the bed. With purpose, she made her way toward him and delicately settled down on the bed beside him. She gently ran her hand along his spine and down to his bottom. With a gentle touch, Brian could feel her fingers making contact with his skin. A sudden gasp escaped him, followed by soft whimpering.

"Darling, what seems to be troubling you?", Kathleen asked as she was looking at him.

"Take me home. I long to return to the comfort and familiarity of my own abode.", Brian answered.

"Oh, sweetheart, you are finally home.", Kathleen said.

"This isn't my home", Brian replied.

"You'll adjust. You can call me Mommy. I'll take care of you.". Kathleen said.

"Although you may possess some maternal qualities, it is crucial to note that you are not my mother.", Brian replied Kathleen silenced him by placing her middle finger on his lips.

Brian was taken aback by Kathleen's actions. She gently urged him to sit up on the edge of the bed and began to tenderly stroke his short, brown hair. Her gaze was filled with love as she looked at him.

"Now, I urge you to sincerely apologize to Mommy. Dearest Mother, my love for you knows no bounds., say it, say it", Kathleen said as she looked at him.

Brian was still stunned by Kathleen's instruction to speak. As her hypnotic eyes gazed at him, he began to sink into a mesmerizing trance.

"The words 'I love you, Mommy' are filled with warmth and affection, creating a beautiful expression of love and gratitude towards a cherished mother.", Brian answered in a monotone voice.

Kathleen was filled with joy when Brian called her 'Mommy'. She gently pulled him into her warm embrace, enveloping him with love. Brian, under a spell, began wrapping his arms around her, reciprocating the hug. As she tenderly stroked his hair at the back of his head, Kathleen shared a moment of affection with her beloved child. Her smile bloomed when she looked at him. She leaned in close to him and whispered gently that he was her precious little boy. Enchanted, Brian's face lit up with a smile as he gazed at her. With gentle hands, she delicately caressed his opposite cheek, tenderly showing her affection.

As the scene shifted back to the Jenson House, Helen's anxiety grew as she fretted about her son. Contemplating reaching out to the authorities, she hesitated when she considered that they would simply advise her to bide her time for a full day before submitting a report on the disappearance. According to authorities, Brian is believed to have potentially fled his residence, leaving the Police to suspect he ran away from home. Deciding to give her son time to return on his own, Helen chose to wait a full 24 hours until her daughter, Brittney, reunited with her. It was a heartfelt decision filled with hope and anticipation.

"Dear Mom, please forgive me for being preoccupied while chatting with my dear friend Stacey over the phone. I had the power to prevent Brian from exiting the house.". Brittney said.

Helen gazed at her daughter and a smile slowly spread across her face.

"Brittney, remember, it wasn't your fault. Release the burden from your shoulders, let it drift away like a feather in the wind. You were so absorbed in your own affairs that you were unable to prevent your brother from being whisked away.", Helen replied.

As Helen and Brittney embraced in a tight hug, Helen suddenly became aware that an entire day had passed. With a sense of urgency, she made the decision to contact the authorities. Approximately an hour later, the Police arrived at the House. Helen, with a sense of urgency, began detailing to a Police Officer what Brian looked like and the attire he was wearing when he was last seen. With a comforting tone, the Police officer assured Helen that they would promptly activate the Amber Alert to assist in locating Brian and promised to keep her informed of any developments. Enhancing security measures, the Police even wired the phone in anticipation of a call from Brian's kidnapper demanding ransom. In a desperate plea for her son's safe return, Helen courageously made a heartfelt Televised Plea urging the kidnapper to release her son unharmed.
