Soul
There have been many times when I asked look into my eyes
For the last few years, I’ve seen through false ties
Lost myself within my own fixations
Procrastination, lust, and most of all addiction
All of which pushed me to my new premonition.
In the abyss with lights coming from afar
Looking around I see nothing, total blackness
But I hear scrambling, so I’m stuck helpless
Reaching for assistance yet not a soul reaches me
I’m blind to reality and that’s what I fail to see
Ideals and idols decorate my fallacy
Where only my point of view is valid equals blasphemy
That in turn creates a dark twisted fantasy.
No one shall prosper without knowing the road ahead
Opinions overriding fact only leads to our demise
Yet you are afraid of your own eyes
Micheal told me it starts with the man in the mirror
For a blindfold called ignorance makes self-reflection inferior.
In order to see the light, one must leave the darkness
Blanketed by the warmth of lies and delusion
This wasn’t their vision with the declaration of our constitution
But who am I to judge in this sea of confusion?
Nature has a funny way of pulling us in certain directions
Energies and spirits are also an influence.
This life shit is all based upon perceptions
The ones above us have fallen to deviance.
The true key is uplifting the masses
Yet most just want to show they are classless.
After giving the answers, they label you a prophet
That’s only the case when they see the profit
They want to be a goat so bad, a soured concept
We’ve all walked a lonely road; I’ll stay a misfit.
Unseal your eyes and look toward the future
We’re in disarray and we need to make a change
I going to dedicate myself to the culture
Use my words and amplify my range
That way my own kids won’t have to say Life is Strange.
I see the lights reach has widened within our story
But it’s not on us, but for the next generation
For we are meant to give them the tools to grasp glory
And unify our people to eliminate separation
Between the lost and found
To many the idea is profound
But tell me, what is the sound?
I can hear the circadian rhythm push me forward
To go ahead and spread a wise word
To start from the bottom means starting from coal
A diamond from the rough is in my soul.
