À Ipswich, une petite ville typique des Etats-Unis d'à peine quinze mille habitants, débarque Sacha Sinclair. Originaire d'Écosse, c'est à la suite du décès de son grand frère que ses parents jugent bon de l'expédier dans un autre pays pour poursuivre ses études supérieures. Située à environ une heure de Boston et seulement trente minutes de la célèbre ville de Salem, Sacha apprendra au fil du temps qu'Ipswich a aussi son lot de problèmes et qu'il est préférable de ravaler sa fierté pour ne pas se faire rattraper par ses démons. Tout le monde se connaît et les murs de Castle Hill ont des oreilles. Qui sait ce qui pourrait être colporté une fois la nuit tombée ? Il paraît que seules les plus belles fleurs éclosent sous les rayons de la lune mais qu'aucune n'a jamais eu le temps de voir la lumière du jour.

Ipswich aborde des sujets plutôt lourds et matures comme le deuil, la peur de la mort et de l’abandon ou encore le plaisir de la chaire ; lecteurs avertis.
Toute ressemblance avec des faits et des personnages existants ou ayant existé serait purement fortuite et ne pourrait être que le fruit d’une pure coïncidence.
