"The story premise is engaging and there was real thought put into worldbuilding. At Chapter 16, it's clear that there are some mysteries that have only been hinted at, the primary one is what connection exists between the two main female characters beyond friendship. The stage is set--powerful witch who didn't know she was a witch, best friend, a three level social structure that our heroine doesn't really fit into any level, and a very angry conflicted King with daddy issues. Oh, and let's not forget the community of witches. It would benefit from careful proofreading and more in-depth character development. For example, I've got the feeling that young Bertha is going to play an important role but we don't know enough to even guess at what it will be. It's on my recommendation list so read it, draw your own conclusions, and support this writer with your comments. So much potential."
