The Beginning
Kazuki Akihiko, a 26-year-old with a lean academic build, had short, slightly messy black hair, sharp dark brown eyes, and a pale complexion.
He was typically seen in disheveled button-up shirts and jeans,
often with glasses that highlighted his intellectual demeanor.
As a renowned scholar and strategist from the modern world, Kazuki found himself dying alone in a place far from home.
But how did this happen? To find out, let’s go back five hours before the accident.
“Kazuki,” a soft, joyful voice called from behind. He turned and saw Liliam.
Liliam, Kazuki’s beautiful 20-year-old assistant, had a simple and unassuming appearance,
with youthful charm, modest attire, and a demeanor that exuded quiet competence and dedication.
“Oh, Liliam,” Kazuki replied with a smile.
“So, today is the day for the big moment,” Liliam said excitedly.
“Yes, today I shall change this world with my new invention,” Kazuki declared confidently.
Today was the world’s greatest showcase of ideas and inventions from all around the globe.
Everything was going smoothly until Kazuki received a call.
“Mr. Kazuki,” a loud, stern voice called him to the call center.
“Okay, I am coming. Liliam, wait here for me,” Kazuki said.
“Okay,” Liliam replied.
Kazuki followed the man to the call center.
“Hello, who’s speaking?” Kazuki asked.
“So, how is life going, Mr. Loser Kazuki?” said an unknown man with a deep, intimidating voice.
“Wh...who are you?” Kazuki asked, shocked and frightened.
“If you don’t want your truth to be broadcast on TV and social media, come and meet me now,” the unknown man demanded.
Kazuki thought, “What should I do? If I don’t go, my life...” He was numb with fear and then, in a low, slow voice, said, “Okay, I’m coming. Tell me where to meet you.”
Leaving his once-in-a-lifetime opportunity behind, Kazuki prepared to meet this unknown man.
“Liliam, I have to go. I promise I will come back before the event starts,” Kazuki said hurriedly, his voice filled with fear.
“Wait, is everything okay? Where are you going?” Liliam asked, concerned.
“I don’t have time. Please listen to me, I have to go,” Kazuki insisted. Before Liliam could say anything, he turned and left.
“What is going on here?” thought Liliam, worried.
Present Time
Kazuki was driving his car, nearing his destination on a narrow, mountainous road. He was driving at high speed. Suddenly, an overspeeding car approached from behind. Both cars were racing dangerously.
As Kazuki saw a turn ahead, he reduced his speed, but the car behind him accelerated.
“Hey, what are you doing?” Kazuki shouted angrily.
There was no response. Soon, the car behind rammed into Kazuki’s car, pushing it toward the edge of the road.
“Oh, God, this is the end. Goodbye,” Kazuki prayed silently.
Both cars tumbled off the mountain.
“Hahaha... well, this is just the beginning, my dear Kazuki,” the mysterious man said ominously.
