The coffee shop
The aroma of freshly ground coffee beans hung heavy in the air, mingling with the soft murmur of conversation and the gentle clinking of spoons against ceramic mugs. Amelia, perched on a worn leather armchair by the window, watched the rain splatter against the glass, each drop a tiny, fleeting universe.
