"Great book"
Entertaining and original
"Elie's Aura is a well-written, dual-POV story about two young men who find each other at a critical junction in their lives. Elie, the younger character, is a realistic mixture of headstrong, supportive and insecure; an all-American boy on the surface who knows he is something different inside. But Elvis is the real star of this show -- brash, outspoken, blunt, arrogantly self-confident at one moment and a bundle of insecurity at another. Elvis makes this story entertaining, funny, often surprising, and occasionally heart-breaking. While I sometimes question the way mental health issues are linked with artistic talent, as though one leads to the other, I like how Elvis's personal demons are consistently present without dominating the story. I also like the way both characters are comfortable with their orientation - Elie from the beginning, and Elvis simply accepting this part of himself once he becomes aware of it - despite the homophobic world they live in. While Elie's Aura only takes us through the beginning of their stories, we're left wishing both characters well on their journeys and happy to have met them."
Another brilliant story
"Kept me hooked right until the last word, can't help hoping that these two make a life with each other in their futures 😊"
