Prologue
25 Years Ago
MURIEL AND DINA were so happy right now because they just found out that Dina is pregnant with their first child after 5 years of marriage. They are respected warriors in the Aurora Island and the town of Valentia worship them for always helping around.
“Do you think our child will become a warrior like us?” Dina was robbing her flat belly while she asked her husband, when Muriel stood next to her and put his hand on her hand he said.
“I hope not, my love. I want our child to find her or his path by them self, it’ll break my heart to see his or hers scars like mine.” Dina caressed her husband cheek with a smile.
“You are right, my love. Let’s give our child the opportunity to choose their path.” Muriel smiled down on his wife and hugged her, he felt the happiest man alive now that his wife is pregnant. What he’s worried about, is her job as a female warrior. He doesn’t want her to injure herself at war or lift heavy stuff.
“Stop thinking so hard, I promise you that I won’t lift anything heavy. About me being a female warrior? You know there is nothing we can’t do anything about it, this is our life until the day we die.” Dina kissed her husband on the lips and leaned her forehead on to his.
“Stop reading my mind Dina, because no matter what, you always win.” Muriel and Dina laughed at his words and embraced them self into a hug.
“What can I do, my love. Your mind is always open for me to read you, especially when we are in bed.” Dina smiled alluringly at her husband; her hands were on his body. Her hormones as an Angel are high, especially in the first 3 months but after that she’ll have to see how her husband will handle her when she become ‘big’. Dina left a small scream when her husband lifted her into his hand and flew them to their bedroom to enjoy the rest of the night.
5 months later
“MURIEL!!!” Dina screamed as she felt that her water broke a month earlier, she tried to lift herself from the couch. “Where the hell are you?! Get your ass right here and help get this child out of me!” Dina was breathing slowly to try and calm herself down.
Muriel appeared at the house the second he felt his wife’s pain, he knows it’s rude to leave the meeting that the Elders summoned, but his wife and child were more important to him.
“I’m Sorry Elder Lazare, but my wife’s water just broke, and I need to help her.” Muriel bowed down to them and was about to leave when Elder Sophia stopped him.
“Warrior Muriel, let me come with you and help you. I’ll let him know about the meeting elder Lazare.” Elder Lazare nodded his head and they both left the meeting and transported to his house in Valentia.
“Dina, we are here my love.” Muriel approached his wife to lift her in his arms.
“Please put her on your bed, I’ll help you deliver your baby warrior Dina.” Elder Sophia followed Muriel and Dina to their room, while she was trying to calm herself down. Upon arriving, Muriel put Dina carefully on their bed and looked at Elder Sophia.
“What should we do now? I can’t see her like that.” Muriel eyes were focusing on his wife.
“First, calm down Muriel. Second, bring me a towel and a basket of water. Do it now warrior. Don’t worry Dina, your baby will be here at your hand in no time.” Elder Sophia looked like Muriel flew around the place to bring her all the things she asked for, and then she turned her face and smiled at Dina.
A Few Hours Later
The cry of a newborn Angel was heard around the Island, the first born of the warriors was finally brought to life from her mother belly.
“Congratulations, Dina and Muriel, you have a baby girl.” Sophia smiled at them and went to clean the small baby from blood and wrap her in a pink blanket that Dina had prepared in case they’ll have a girl instead of a boy. Sophia returned to the room with their crying baby and placed her in her mother’s arms.
“She is so beautiful, our baby girl. We did a really good job, right my love?” Dina smiled at her husband as she saw him approaching their bed to look at his beautiful girl. He caressed her small head with careful.
“Yes, we did, my love. She is perfect, like her mother.” Muriel smiled at his wife and kissed her forehead, he turned to Elder Sophia and bowed to her. “We are grateful to you Elder Sophia, we would like you to be our daughter guardian, if you accept.” Muriel turned to his wife to see if she agrees with him when he saw her smiling and nodding toward him.
Sophia smiled at them “I’ll be honoured to be your daughter’s guardian. I’ll keep her safe from any harm. I’ll let you two rest, report tomorrow to the castle and I’ll tell you about the meeting we had today.” Muriel escorted Elder Sophia to the door and bowed to her with a promise that he’ll be there tomorrow.
On the next day, Muriel and Dina woke up to a strange noise that were coming from inside the house. The first thing that they did was head toward little Evelyn’s room to see if she was doing well. Upon seeing their daughter well, the noises were heard loudly and clear.
“Search this whole house until you find them! When you find them, bring them to me I’ll deal with them!” The meritorious and familiar voice was heard from inside the house.
“I want you to take our daughter and leave the house, don’t argue with me Dina! I love you both so much, no matter what happens I’ll always be watching you both. Now go through the secret tunnel and leave the house!” Muriel kissed his daughter and wife with a goodbye kiss because he knew that he’ll never SE them again after today.
With a broken heart, Dina took Evelyn in her arms and went through the secret tunnel just in time to hear the voice of her husband screaming and fighting someone! Dina flew to the castle with her daughter, upon arriving she met Elder Sophia.
“What is going on Dina? Why are you crying?” Dina gave Evelyn to Elder Sophia hands.
“Elder Sophia, I’m leaving my daughter in your care. Someone broke down into our house and Muriel is fighting by himself, I’m going to join him and help. I love you, Evelyn.” Before leaving, Dina placed on her daughter a Medallion wing so it could protect her from any harm and gave her a goodbye kiss with tears in her eyes.
An hour after, the Elders of the Coven came to Muriel and Dina’s place and found it in chaos and their warriors were lying next to each other with no life.
“We need to find the one that had killed our beloved warriors and get him RIGHT NOW!” Elder Sophia orders the other warriors. “Search every corner that is possible, I want that criminal punished for what he’s done!” When Sophia watched the warriors spreading around and what she had ordered them to do, her knees fell on the ground next to Dina with tears in her eyes.
“I promise you guys, that I’m going to find the person that have killed you and make him pay for his crime. About Evelyn, I think it’s better to send her to the human realm because it’s dangerous in our world”.
During the search, Elder Elijah appeared in the castle with someone that they never thought of, he appeared with a warrior.
“What is the meaning of this Elijah? Why did you bring Warrior Felice in front of us?” Elder Lazare asked.
“Elder Lazare, I’ve found the killer of our beloved warriors. Apparently, this warrior wanted to be the next grand warrior like the late Muriel was, so he gathered some of our enemies and attacked their house. You know that I loved my big brother and his wife because of our bloodline, but to know that my niece became orphanage because of this pathetic warrior and his ambitious plans I’ve lost my only brother, I want him to rotten in our special prison and remove his wings for life!” Elder Elijah was furious and grieving for the lost of his brother and sister-in-law that have died in such painful way. The Coven gathered around and discussed Elijah’s words.
What the Coven and others didn’t know, is who the real culprit of the masquerade of the warriors Muriel and Dina. After the gathering, Elder Sophia took baby Evelyn to the forest and went through the portal that connected both worlds and left her at the stairs of the first orphanage that she saw and returned to her world without looking back and see how Evelyn’s life will be!
