Chapter 1: Horribly Nightmare
It was a beautiful Saturday morning. Rainy was coming from seeing her boyfriend. She walked in and saw relatives in the dining room. Her aunt stood up and gave her a hug. People had been coming in and out of the house like it was a market.
"Where the hell have you been, Rainy? Your parents were killed last night."
Rainy fainted when the words soon reached her. Mrs. Sheila Antonio rushed to her nephew who had passed out after hearing the devastating news. After six hours at the hospital, Rainy finally woke up. She wondered what had happened when a woman kicked the door open.
"It's your fault my son Andrea is dead, Rainy. You are a curse, even your parents are dead."
Rainy looked at the woman in disbelief. That's the woman, Mrs. Julia Jones. They were celebrating her son's success last night, and today she has lost the most important people in her life. She thought it was a bad nightmare. She wanted someone to slap her to wake up from this nightmare.
"Sorry, ma'am. You are making noise. Miss Antonio needs more rest. She is three months pregnant," Dr. Silver excused himself after checking up on his patient.
The news of her parents and her boyfriend echoed in her head, but another bombshell was thrown in her face.
"Rainy, I am sorry," Andrea's mother, Mrs. Jones, went to hug Rainy, who was now crying. She fainted again.
After three days, Rainy was discharged from the hospital. Her face had gone pale. The beautiful, sexy woman was now thin. She was all alone. The princess of Antonio had no one. Her smile lit up when she saw her daddy's driver coming to pick her up.
"Princess Rainy, I am glad you are going back home. Your aunt has taken over the entire house and the company."
She didn't have the energy to talk much.
"Thank you for fetching me, Mr. Joe. I need to get home and prepare the funeral for my parents."
Joe Morrison had been working for Mr. Antonio for five years. He didn't know how to break the news to Rainy.
"Princess, your parents have been buried. The funeral was yesterday. I will take you to their graveyard."
Rainy couldn't believe she never had a chance to bury her parents. The anger and resentment started growing in her heart.
She became a different person, from a princess to a devil. Joe took the bags and helped her. At the graveside, Rainy couldn't hold it anymore. It was after three hours when Rainy decided to leave and go home.
She knew that she would find Aunt Sheila at home. When Mandy saw Rainy back home looking pale, she got worried and ran to her.
"Princess Rainy, you are back but you don't look good. I will prepare your favorite soup."
Mandy had been serving in the Antonio household for nearly a decade; she was fond of Rainy. She hugged her and took the bag, accompanying her to her room. She went to prepare chicken and pumpkin soup for Rainy while she was bathing. Mandy took the food to her room.
"Thank you, Aunt Mandy. Where is my aunt's family?"
"Mandy, Mandy (where is this old woman?)"
Sheila Roberts was the sister of Rainy's mother. She got married and left to stay in another city with her husband. Lewis Roberts had signed a million-dollar contract, but after two years, his business failed, leaving them bankrupt. Mandy was about to open the door when it flew open.
"This is going to be my room."
Aliayah was shocked to see Rainy back from the hospital. Aliyah Roberts was the first daughter of Sheila and Lewis Roberts. She was 26 years old, and all she knew was to spend on a lavish lifestyle and play with men.
"Aliyah, why do you want my room?"
Rainy was almost done eating. She stood up and went outside to be met by many bags.
Mrs. Roberts was giving Mandy orders.
"Can you please change the bedding in my sister's bedroom? We will be using it with my husband."
"No! I didn't invite anyone. If I wanted someone to stay with me, I would have asked. But now I need to be alone."
Rainy went to lock her parents' room.
"Aunt, if you want to stay for a few days, use the rooms downstairs and take your spoilt brat with you."
Rainy left after telling them, and went back to her room. Mrs. Sheila Roberts was embarrassed, but she quickly left to find a room downstairs.
In her room, Rainy was busy touching her belly and the tears started coming. She didn't know when she fell asleep. It was in the morning when she felt like she was living a nightmare. She was devastated but remembered that she was now pregnant with her late fiance's child. She thought about how Andrea would be excited and happy about them becoming parents. As she continued to fantasize about her future with Andrea, there was a knock. She ignored the knock, but the person knocked hard, which frustrated her.
"This is my house, you should leave me alone and stop disturbing my peace," she said. It was Mr. Roberts.
