Chapter 1 Unpredicted
All female staff under one roof addressed by the the boss's wife"Under no circumstance are my boys ever at any of ya'll disposal"I could hear the forbidden whispers of the woman surrounding me all befuddled "Especially Glade! his married" I felt my heart pound rapidly as the room got smaller, everyone staring right at me,"Could this be the end?".
'That is all for now,'she said as i snapped back to reality and we all walked out the room...
I was offered an opportunity to work at a newly opened restuarant as a waitress, You could see the excitement in me from a great distance I was determined not to waste the opportunity and to show what a valuable asset i can be.
I was not planning on staying long but was set on leaving a mark.
Tuesday morning i started, welcomed with open arms and showed around the shop i shortly made a friend Lex considering we started together 'newbies' we grew close she was much older than i am and fought for me in most cases hence i was the youngest in the store and couldn't stand up for myself.
First time i saw him,He came to the restaurant to deliver a few things. The girl's started mumbling a few things pointing out to him.I did not pay much attention given i had no idea who he was and was probably not interested in knowing.
He walked up to all of us greeted in pleasantly and walked in the shop
"I need a good tip","yeah Glade" bla bla bla.
In confusion i asked is no one serving him? they looked at me in disbelief like I have been leaving under a rock,'Is he a regular' i asked again Lex pulled me aside told me his name was Glade and the son of our boss.
While still in shock Lex tells me they had met on the day of her interview and he gave her a lift to an insignificant location she spoke so kindly of him,how he eased her nerves after the interview and reassured her that she will get the job.
I thought to myself that was mighty kind of him.He then walked out and paraded to his car as we watched him drive off.
The day proceeded smoothly as we all went on with our jobs,I had made enough money to say it was a good start to my first day.
knocked off and all went our separate ways Lax and I walked to the taxi rank together we talked and got to know each other she told me about her two kids and how she was also married at some point in time and also told her about how i couldn't feather my studies but chose not to sit at home either..
