Summary

Writing takes time, as we all know, and placing the heart and soul into it is just as hard. I have been writing poems for quite some time and I wanted to share them. I hope you enjoy them.

Let go of the things you can't

Here around my waist is a belt linked to many

The long chains are thinner, the distance is held in the background but still drag on the surface.

The short chains are thicker and hit my feet from time to time.

They can be easier to carry, for the burden can not be felt, but the many that I have can not all be held.

As the time passes, I get tired and let them follow me.

The emotional attachment, the commitment.

From time to time I let myself believe these chains give me purpose.

So I keep them there because they are my company.

But company is not chains, this weight is not comfort, this is not my purpose.

Those will understand, if I find me, I want to run, I want to jump, let me feel the air flow free.

I can let go not because I’m selfish, but because I need to love myself.
