Good Work!

"I want to start by saying that the author's writing is truly beautiful. You can tell that a lot of dedication and care went into crafting this story. The author has an incredible talent for describing even the simplest things in a way that makes them feel rich and meaningful, I haven’t come across another work quite like hers. There’s a real elegance in the way she uses words, and that’s something I truly appreciated throughout. That being said, for me personally, the writing style occasionally weighed down the flow of the chapters. While the prose was undeniably beautiful, it sometimes made certain chapters feel longer and more drawn out than I would have preferred. This, of course, is entirely subjective—what felt heavy to me may be exactly what others enjoy. Every author has their own style, and that’s part of what makes each story unique and special. Still, it’s worth mentioning as it did impact my experience reading the book. As for the plot, I found the prologue to be a bit of a mixed experience. While it was detailed and full of rich imagery, it also left me with a lot of questions. Some crucial details seemed to be missing, and it created a sense of confusion for me. I’m not sure if that was intentional, but it made it harder to fully grasp the world and what was happening. I would have appreciated a bit more expansion at the beginning, especially since the start of the war and the world-building seemed so interesting. I think that taking more time to really set the stage and give readers a clearer sense of the events leading up to Kaydence’s story would have helped make things feel less ambiguous. By the end, I found myself making assumptions to fill in the gaps. On a more positive note, the last chapter I read (Chapter 9) was my favorite. I really enjoyed how the author delved into the council’s dynamics—it added a whole new layer of intrigue to the story. I also found myself more drawn to Mayful’s character than to Kaydence. Mayful has a certain depth to him that I found more compelling, and I was eager to see more of his perspective as the story unfolded. While there were areas where I felt the pacing and clarity could have been improved, the author’s undeniable talent for evocative, beautiful writing still shines through. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care went into the creation of this world. "

BEAUTIFUL

"Okay, first thing that got my attention was the book cover. Not many books on inkitt put so much effort in making good covers so this was like a breath of fresh air. Second, I was expecting the book to be good but not this good!!! It's amazing, I'm still in the first chapter but I would be adding this to my reading list and devouring it whole. I absolutely love the way you write, its intriguing and kinds of drags me into that fantasy feeling I like when I read a book. Keep up the good work. "

Nikki's Review

"This story is strong. It takes its time, but in the best way building character relationships that feel meaningful and laying the groundwork for what feels like a much larger journey ahead. I’m definitely invested and looking forward to seeing where the road takes Kaydence and his companion next. I got through the first 10 chapters ill be sure to continue and update a later review. "

Not my kind of story it seems

"First of all everything is based on my own impression of the story and aren't necessarily true. I will go over a few points before writing the final conclusion. The style is good it's detailed and gives a good impression of what you wish to tell your reader. Unfortunately in my case it felt more like bubble gum being stretched. Not solely because of the style that it's written in. But also because the chapters could have very well been two. Due to the chapters being especially long it felt tedious reading some of the parts. When I first read the summary and the prologue I was like: Oh that could be an interesting tale but sadly do to the large pieces of information in a short time it was more tiring than enjoyable for me. I didn't feel like the informations were missing which is a good point it was more like you were trying to give me too much in a too short span of time. My personal advise here would be firstly splitting the chapters into some more chapters. And secondly you do not have to rush you can stay longer in the scenes. Which may sound absurd considering how much details you already have in your stories but it helps in slowing down the pacing which reduces the amount of information that a reader needs to digest in a short span of time. From what I've seen from the characters so far they are well developed and thought out. Sadly I kept fumbling them up since there were too many things to remember. The world you invite the reader into seems interesting and beautiful keep that up what you have. All in all I think the story has a lot of potential but for me I'll have to stop here because I would only be forcing me trough the chapters in the hopes maybe the next will draw me in. I hope my feedback helps you in any way. You do not have to explain yourself nor do you have to accept the points you don't think actually apply as said this has been written solely based on my reading experience. Sincerely Luna Laurenzius "
