Chapter 1
In twilight's hush, where love once dwelled,
A requiem whispers, "What went awry?"
The whirlwind romance, now but a memory,
Fades like the sunset on a distant beach.
The sea of passion, once a turbulent deep,
Grew calm and still, as if in sleep.
No landmarks guided us through life's waves,
And now we're lost, adrift, in separate graves.
How could two hearts beat as one, yet stray?
My tides of longing crash, while yours drift away.
In every ebb and flow, I feel your absence keen,
As if the undertow of love has stolen my heart's sheen.
At the helm of our shattered dreams, I stand,
Charting the stars, yet lost in a deserted land.
You're rowing silently, oblivious to my cries,
Your gaze averted, as our love drowns in the silent skies.
Oh, where did love's compass fail us so?
Was it the storms that raged and swept us low?
Or was it our own desires, masked in hope's disguise?
Tell me, where did our love's anchor lose its hold?
