The FMC had me screaming more than once for her decisions, but they kept moving the story along and I definitely liked her personality. All the characters were great!! I loved everything of Jen's that I have read and this early story was amazing!! Definitely loved it! "

"I do like the characters, Kaleb the most. As I read the end of each chapter, I wonder to myself “what the hell”? I start to wonder what is going to happen next? I thought when Sophia had gotten bit by the wolf, she would turn into a werewolf,but noooo! She is part Fae and will br party werewolf. Blew my mind. Did not expect that. Now, what’s next?"

"I liked the concept that she was going to have a chance with her good friend/crush from across the street. And I like a forbidden romance. It was brother's best friend with shifter dynamics on top. However, I felt the joy/heartache ratio wasn't right for me. This book has the absolute pain of non-commitment, transactional sex with someone you care about. With virginity thrown in. If loyalty is important to you, this book is going to hurt like mad. Some bad things happen to Sophie which I didn't enjoy reading about. I was looking for escapism to read before bed and this book was a bit too dark for me. In terms of the fantasy world, I found the rules of the world confusing eg when you are in the supernatural realm and when you aren't. The absence of any adult weres eg Kaleb's parents seemed odd. I'm giving 2 stars because, personally, I didn't enjoy the plot."
