Chapter 1: “The day that the flowers bloomed.”
Everett had to fight. That was something he wasn’t expecting, but he had to. He was literally in charge of nature in the Helios System, yet he had to kill some bitches.
He had an outfit made for him so he wouldn’t have to fight in his casual clothes, because who the hell does that?
His friend Malcane, the embodiment of love and hatred, didn’t have to really kill, she could just shoot arrows at two interstellars and make them hate each other.
Nyx, the embodiment of death, is very happy to brutally murder a bitch.
He usually wouldn’t harm a fly, but… like.. its war, so he was going around each planet in the Sunaria System, just.. just killing. But he used a bow and arrow to avoid getting his hands dirty.
He was currently on Flamelight, the planet of the flameburners. He was heading to Flowerfall, if things got ‘muddy’, that is.
And.. well..
He was currently being hunted down. So he had to hurry. He had to head to the flowery planet. quick.
He teleported to a place in Flowerfall that looked like a forest. He walked around, making sure not to bump into anyone.
But he heard leaves rustling and saw a green glow and instantly hid in a tree, soundlessly, of course.
He had his bow and arrow out, ready to shoot if needed.
But..
Goddamn…
The man he saw was so fucking adorable that he almost dropped his bow.
He made his bow disappear and put his arrow back into the quiver.
He just silently watched him, the man was picking berries and flowers.
He looked so adorable, he had green hair with slightly brown highlights, and his wings were leaf-shaped, with a tail that was also leaf-shaped. he had a cute hoodie on and jeans that had a bunch of flower accessories on them. He was facing the other way so Everett couldn’t see his eyes, but there were antlers on his head and butterflies were flying around his head. Maybe some made their way into Everett’s stomach…
The man was holding a basket in his hand and even the basket was adorable, It looked like it was crafted out of vines and had flowers on it, though the man was still far more alluring.
He wondered what would happen if he appeared in front of him.. That probably wouldn’t go well.
He was just lost in thought, just staring at this beautiful man, though he felt he was being creepy and acting like a stalker..
The man was humming a tune that Everett couldn’t recognize, but he didn’t care, he tried his best to memorize it.
And then,
he fell.
he fell off the tree.
HE FELL ONTO THE GODDAMN MAN!
He was panicking and immediately got off of the man.
It seemed the man was also panicking, and staring at him.
He had beautiful green eyes with white glasses.
“I can… explain..” Everett said, not actually knowing how to explain why hell he was watching from the trees.
He then remembered, this was a fucking war.
“Wait.. I don’t have to explain..! haha!”
“Oh no, you have to explain.” the man said, grimly, though he didn’t sound too threatening.
“Damnit.. Fine I was uhm.. hiding.. because, as you can tell.. I’m a Eutharian and I’m being hunted down.. by those fiery lunatics.”
“You do know that your speaking with an Interstellar, right..?”
“Uhm.. yeah..”
“Then why are you making things worse for yourself?”
“Uhh.. I’m not used to this war shit, I don’t know. BUT I COME IN PEACE, I DO NOT INTEND TO HARM YOU!”
“And how do you intend to prove that you come in peace, Mr. Bow and Arrow?”
“Uhm.. I’ll burn all my arrows?”
The man sighed and said, “No, don’t burn your arrows, just come with me.”
Everett hesitated, but he followed him, nonetheless.
The man lead Everett to a large tree. The leaves seemed brighter than the trees around it. The sunlight beamed through them, creating a ring of over grown greenery that seemingly acted as a barrier between the more up kept, and less trampled grass. There was a step stone path from the ring of greenery to a large opening in the tree revealing that it was hollowed out and even furnished. The man walked over a bridge that went over the large greenery ring that seemed to be there to protect the grass and flowers that had grown.
Everett just looked amazed, this entire time.
“So.. your an important person..?”
“I’ll do the questioning first.” It seemed like he was trying to do a menacing voice.
“Holy fuck- uhm okay.”
“Now, follow me.” The still unnamed man said, and Everett happily followed.
They walked across the pathway and through the archway opening in the tree letting Everett get a better view of the inside. The room wasn’t tall, it was more wide and short. There wasn’t much decoration, it was mostly empty. The walls weren’t painted or anything just smoothed out wood with some paintings of interstellars he didn’t recognize.
There was writing below the portraits but Everett couldn’t read the words since they were in the language of interstellars. There were some chairs around with dark wood and green cushioning with a subtle floral patern of vines that twisted and spiraled in intricate patterns. Each chair had a unique pillow. one was in the shape of a sunflower, another was simply a solid blue on one side and the other side looked like it had a pattern but it was facing sideways to Everetts view so he couldn’t make out what the pattern was. In the center of the room there was a spiral staircase that Everett imagined went all the way to the top of the tree.
On the opposite side of the cylindrical room from Everett was an archway made of tree branches. The archway was framing a green, glowing, portal? Door? Everett didn’t know ehat it was but, above it was more writing that he couldn’t read. The man walked over to the archway. “Well, are you coming?” the man said. Everett quickly walked over and the man grabbed his arm and dragged everett through the archway. When Everett emerged he was standing in another room that was similar to the last one though this one had a couple windows and more decorations that had awkwardly been pushed into one corner. This room was also more like a corridor. When Everett looked oit the window he realized that he over the rest of the trees we must be near the top of the tree Everett thought with slight amazement. There were two doors on both Everett’s left on right. The man dragged Everett into a room that somehow both did and didn’t look like an interrogation room at the same time. There was a pile of pillows pushed into a corner and there was a table set up right next to a window. If Everett was being honest the room looked like it might’ve been a guest room at some point and the thought of that wasn’t to hard to believe.
The man pointed to a chair and said, “Sit.”
Everett sat on the chair, genuinely without hesitation.
“Okay, first thing, what is your name?” The man questioned.
“Uhm.. Everett.” He said.
“Why are you here?” He questioned again,
“I told you, I pissed off some shitheads on Flamelight and hid here.”
“Why here?”
“I don’t know, its the only planet that feels like home? I’m not used to this whole war setting.”
“Do you know anything about here..?”
“Uhm, just that it’s about nature.”
The man just looked unimpressed.
“So you know it’s about nature and thats it?”
“Yes.”
“Are.. you uhm.. are you..”
The man seemed like he was at a loss for words and didn’t have anymore questions.
“Are you okay, Mysterious Interstellar~?”
“I will ask the questions!”
“Okay, okay. damn.”
Everett and the Mysterious Interstellar just sat in silence for a while.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
“Mr. Mysterious Interstellar~? You there?”
He waved his hand in front of the mans face
and the man grabbed his wrist.
“Don’t do that.” The man said, letting go of his wrist.
“Fine, then let me ask a question.”
“But-“
“Why didn’t you immediately kill me?”
“I’m a healer, now-“
“Yes, but aren’t all Interstellars violent animals?”
“First off, we aren’t animals ,we’re-“
“I mean, You do seem pretty harmless..”
“Hey!”
“But why didn’t you get anyone else to kill me?”
“Well, I-“
“Are you really an Interstellar??”
“Yes, I’m an Interstellar, now will you stop interrupting me?” Mr. Mysterious man said through gritted teeth.
“But, how are you an Interstellar that isn’t a sword slinging, vicious, merciless, thing void of humanity??”
“Because I am a FLOWERBRINGER! you just described Flameburners and everyone else!”
“So.. your just adorable and harmless?”
“No, I just don’t choose violence first.”
“Why though?”
“Because I’m a healer.”
“You.. you don’t keep knives around or anything??”
“We have plants, I can control plants.”
And Everett just shut down, This man seems to be in charge of plants, just like him! Holy shit they have something in common!!
“You.. you okay, there..?”
“Plants. You like plants… Plants are fun.”
“uhm.. okay then..”
Everett snapped out of it and said, “Oh, shit I have to remind my friends that I’m alive- wait will I be alive after this?”
“Depends on what you do.”
“Alright.” Everett took his phone out,
“What is that?! Is that a weapon?” The man acted like he had never seen a phone before.
wait.
“Have you never seen a phone before??”
“A.. A phone?? What’s that?” The man cluelessly asked.
“Tell me your name and I’ll tell you.”
“Erioh.”
EVEN HIS NAME WAS CUTE HOLY SHIT
“Okay, A phone is a little device to contact people, play games, watch videos, and basically just anything.”
Erioh looked at him suspiciously, so Everett decided to prove it.
He sighed and turned on a youtube video and showed it to Erioh.
“Uhh.. what is this..?”
“A youtube video.”
“…Huh..?”
“A video someone posted for the entertainment of others.”
“Oh”
“Do you just wanna see the games instead?”
“..What..? No..? Wait, but this isn’t physical, how is there games?”
“Its a video game, not all games are physical.”
“Yes they are! that’s literally what a game is!!”
“No, see?”
Everett showed Erioh a game called Minecraft
“Why is it blocky???”
“Because, I don’t fuckin know, stylistic choice or something”
“But why blocks?”
“You know what? I’ll just show you how to contact people.”
“O-okay?”
Everett showed Erioh the messages app, and showed him how to call people, but texting…
Erioh stared at the keyboard, “What.. is any of that..?”
“Oh, uhm, letters from the language that humans and Eutharians speak.”
“Why.. aren’t they all made up of straight lines…?”
“Because, not everything is straight.”
Everetts definitely not.
“But letters are usually just made of straight lines.. aren’t they..?”
“Nope.”
“B-but.. but why??”
Everett apparently broke this poor man.
He patted Erioh on the head, “Do you want a phone? I can teach you how to use it.”
“Sure..????”
Everett used magic to make a phone with a case showing a heart of leaves and flowers.
“Here you go.” He handed it to him with a smile, Erioh Reluctantly took it.
“O-oh thank you?”
“It has my number on it just in case you would like to contact me.”
“W-why exactly would I contact you..?“
“We are friends now and you can’t say otherwise.”
“Okay..?”
Everett messaged Malcane and turned his attention back to Erioh. Erioh was trying to work the phone, it looked like he was getting the hang of it.
“Press the green button.”
Erioh pressed the only green thing he saw and him and Everett’s phone started ringing.
“AH! ITS GROWLING! I MADE IT ANGRY!!”
“It’s just ringing..”
“..That does sound more like ringing,..”
“Mhm.”
Everett and Erioh locked eyes for a bit, Everett looked away after a while, his cheeks slightly reddened.
“Uhm.. Maybe next week, we’ll cover ‘Televisions’!” He exclaimed, happily.
Erioh looked at him confused, “.. More confusing Eutharian Technology??”
Everett nodded, smiling. “So… Am I free to go now?”
Erioh blinked a bit. “Oh.. uh. Yeah. I’ll just show you out, so you dont get lost.”
Everett got up and thought of something before Erioh also got up.
He pulled Erioh up and close to him taking a photo of the two of them, with Everett smiling brightly and Erioh looking confused
When he let go of Erioh, he could see the amount of confusion on his face. “What was..”
“A photo on the camera app. Or, as my friend Nyx says it, a memory forever frozen in time.” Ev Explained.
“Oh. You Eutharians have interesting stuff.” Erioh commented.
“Actually… it’s human stuff.”
Erioh looked sort of disappointed, “Oh. Humans. Okay well, come on.”
Everett followed him, happily sending the photo to his best friend, Malcane.
Once outside, Everett hugged Erioh and teleported back to Caele.
.
.
.
He saw the fighting again and realized something.
“Holy shit, there’s a war happening. How did I forget??!”
He had been too busy simping.
