The Angry Color
It is seen everywhere.
In the houses, in the trees, and in the air.
In the blood of the men who fight for freedom and in those who die by its sword.
In the sun that rises on each new day, and on the flags proclaiming; Liberty, the new lord.
It is the phantasma, the hideous dream that lives in rebels' hearts,
And it marches off to war with its followers to do its virtuous part.
You hear it in the countless cries of; "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, or Death!"
And see it written on the face of the soul inside La Guillotine, facing the people's wrath.
It laid in patience, the monstrous beast,
Hidden beneath the rags of poverty, it waited to be released.
Its cause was hate, its hide was red.
A new kind of Fury was being bred.
Its cry was heard across the land,
The angry men of France did band.
They killed the chateau, and then they killed the king,
There was a new world for the winning.
