Chapter 1

“I was unaware of Derek Christopoulos’s brotherhood.”

“My God, they resemble each other so much.” They have to be connected.

“I need someone to pinch me.” Either I’m dreaming or I’m dead. Just gazing at those two is ready to send me into a climax. They shouldn’t be together in that manner. We’re all going to run out of oxygen because of them. They’re coming this way, oh my god—

Leandro Christopoulos’s dark blue gaze, similar to Derek’s, revealed a hint of amusement as he studied his elder cousin. They were both tall, with black hair, olive skin, and a rough appearance—all traits typical of their Greek ancestry.

Shouting, giggling, and staring—all the typical reactions one might anticipate from fans of rock artists. The girls were acting that way in their presence. It was crazy.

How does your Jaike stand this widespread mania around you, he asked sardonically in their native tongue?

Derek reddened. “It’s not something I intentionally court.” His voice had the tiniest hint of defensiveness.

Leandro grinned. “As usual, your issue is that you’re too amiable and endearing—like a real prince.” “Jaike is aware that all I want is her, and I am who I am.” Derek gave the ring a sharp tap on his finger.

Leandro was shaking his head about the engagement ring. Even though his cousin was several years older than Derek, he still felt that Derek was too young to get engaged. Naturally, he had previously met Derek’s fiancée, Jaike. Derek didn’t have to marry her immediately away even if she was a beautiful girl.

As the scion of a political dynasty and the heir to a Greek corporate empire, Derek was among the most eligible bachelors in his nation. Why would he bind himself up at such a young age? Was Derek really that stupid to think that what he had wasn’t only intense sexual attraction and compatibility but rather deep love?

Finally bringing Leandro out of his reverie, Derek continued, “And this is the cafeteria.” It’s one of the most exquisite things on Earth, garnering accolades worldwide.

Leandro nodded and looked around him as if he were interested. It was exquisitely furnished in cream and wood, resembling a hotel lobby rather than a student canteen.

Actually, everything about Christopoulos University was lovely, but he didn’t feel at all at ease there. More than that, it made him feel gloomy if he had to be honest about it. Leandro couldn’t help but be reminded of the complete mess he had created of his life by everything about America.

Derek gave his cousin a serious thought and carefully evaluated what he had to say. He finally responded carefully, “I know why you’re here,” even though he was reluctant to say anything dishonest. My parents have been informed by your mother, who then notified me. I promise not to interfere in any manner or try to dictate to you because I’m not the kind to meddle. I do, however, ask that you abide by all of the key regulations since I would hate for the university to be associated with any sort of shady reputation.

“Comprehensive.” Leandro also did. Derek had one intention, and that was to stop participating in any more underground races.

“Are there any more questions for me?”

“Yes.” “Can you recommend to me any girl who’s likely to win my parents’ approval?” Leandro said sincerely after pausing. By this weekend, I must have a girlfriend.” Derek raised an eyebrow. “A romantic partner?”

“Ideally, a super smart, boring, and good girl who would make a wonderful daughter-in-law for any mother.”

“Good girls would flee at the sight of you alone.”

His lips curled into a seductive smile, but it missed Leandro’s eyes and left him looking like a frigidly attractive man. “I doubt any girl would turn down everything I have to offer.” He wasn’t bragging, just

expressing a reality. As early as thirteen years old, he was getting approached by incredibly attractive women twice his age with proposals.

“Well, I’m afraid I can’t give you any recommendations. That’s equivalent to knowing you’re going to hurt any female you date and sacrificing a sacrificial lamb.

Leandro responded, “But it will hurt so good,” and, as though to emphasize his point, he allowed himself a small smile.

The girls in the vicinity sighed.

Derek gave a headshake. “Whatever you’re planning is not going to happen. My recommendation to you is to find someone to fall in love with if you need a girlfriend. When he saw the time on his watch, he scowled. “In a few minutes, the board and I will be meeting. Must we return?

“I think I’ll hang out here for a bit, maybe get something to eat, and then I’ll go back to my room.” Are we still scheduled for tonight?

Without a doubt. Jaike can’t wait to prepare dinner for you.

Leandro choked back a moan. “Tell me it’s not—please.”

Yes, it is. You’re going to tell her you enjoyed it once you’ve fucked swallowed every spoonful. Derek grinned, baring his teeth. He spoke with sincerity. He refused to allow anything or anyone to cause the lady he loved any kind of distress.

Then, Leandro did moan. Jaike was a terrible chef, especially when it came to Greek food. “You truly are a sadist.”

Nope. Simply in love.

He choked. “Were you really that serious when you said that?”

Derek did nothing but smile, and this smile, unlike his cousin’s, reached his eyes, causing the girls to sigh even harder than they had when they first saw the alluring power of Leandro Christopoulos’ smile. You’ll fall in love with another girl one day and love her even more than your bike. I’ll be the one making fun of you after that.

Leandro grinned. “Catrix, it’s not going to happen ever.” Renowned final words, Derek contemplated.
