There’s an Asian myth of love about the red strings of fate. Strings that bind soulmates together, strings that may stretch or tangle but never break. I can see them, these threads of love, tied to people’s ankles, fingers, or arms, flowing into the world and connecting them to their many soulmates. People they’ll come to love one way or another.
Threads that I cannot touch, only see, projections of red lighting up the paths between soulmates.
The power of the thread is absolute. Fate is absolute.
Or at least that’s what I believed until I met Akito and Ren.
