EDGELORD SLOP2

"So this came first? You wrote this mess and then thought "yes, more of this, but samurai." I read Blade's Edge first and thought it was bad. Then I read NEOTERRIA. I was wrong. Blade's Edge isn't worse. It's the refined version. Same broken engine, same fifty phrases, same capture-escape loop, same protagonist with chronic tachycardia. You took this and optimized it. You didn't learn. You codified the failure. What works: Chapter 1. That's it. Jack Novem as a maintenance tech with a psychic curse and a calculating mind, walking past a man being kicked to death because he understood the cost of stopping. That's a protagonist. You abandoned him by Chapter 2. Also Lena's argument in Chapter 7, where she's right about Jack's paternalism and the novel actually lets her be right. Then you fridge her and erase her from the epilogue because you were scared of an argument you started. What doesn't: Jack's heart pounds in every chapter. His blood runs cold in every chapter. By Chapter 12 he's dodging lightning and snapping arms "like twigs" - not a maintenance tech finding strength, a shonen protagonist unlocking a power-up. You validated everything Lena accused him of and called it growth. The plot has one move: arrive, danger, enemy appears, someone says "go, I'll hold them off," Jack runs, vows revenge, chapter ends with "the real battle was just beginning." Repeat for fourteen chapters. Vex shows up eight times and escapes seven of them. He's not a villain, he's a loading screen with a smirk. Zephyr exists to be killed so Jack can get angry. Lena exists to be killed and then never mentioned again, not even in the epilogue where Jack is happy and at peace with a wife and kids. Billions died. None of it is mentioned. That's not hope, that's amnesia with a wedding ring. The factions - genocidal empires, slave markets, torture states - all "reform" off-screen over thirty years because an artifact "nudged" things toward fairness. Is this children's book about bullying? This is not the political drama i wanted. And the tags. None of them are earned. They're costumes. You think naming a tragedy is the same as writing one. Verdict: Technically literate, creatively dead. One good chapter and one good scene, both murdered to make room for a power fantasy that erases its own dead. You're not a dark writer. You're a procedural generator running on fifty phrases and a fear of consequence. I won't be suprised if youre using AI to write. Rating: 2/10. Stop writing the same trauma with a new skin. Read something that lets its losses stay lost."
