It's the 60s in New Orleans and like many southern states, tension rises from civil unrest. With desegregation sweeping a divided nation, stubborn whites formed their Klans and fight back to ensure things remain separately unchanged. During these troubling times, James Hoodu, a young Haitian immigrant, uses a bit of magic to bring prosperity to his rugged, family-owned, Voodoo Shop. However, powerful rival witches come to feel scorned by their growing success and react hastily. After enduring some hefty losses, heartbreak, and facing poverty, James begins rebuilding his life down a darker path of vengeance as Papa Voodoo. With help from his mother, The Voodoo Queen of Haiti, Papa prepares to pursue the witches that wronged him and his family, along with purging Louisiana of its deeply rooted prejudice...but how heavy is the cost of revenge?

Elara Richards: This story had me hooked from the start! I had so many questions about Gabi, and the best part was I couldn't predict where this story was going. It was the perfect balance of mystery, fantasy, romance and action! I loved Tess & Rowan so much, though I feel Gabi and Luca will win me over in the next...
