Prologue
"Many years ago, back when the first princess of Prairie Creek was waiting patiently for her coronation to become queen. Her younger sister Melina got really jealous that Lidia, the princess was chosen to become the next ruler. So once it was the day of princess Lidia's coronation, Melina grabbed the poison that she secretly bought a couple weeks before from the sketchy old lady who had a cabin in the woods.
Little did Melina's family knew. She was going to poison her older sister so she could be the new ruler. So with her plan on the day of coronation. Once her older sister was in her beautiful white dress after the coronation, the family had a nice big dinner. With all the guards, maids, and Butlers.
That is when Melina was going to get revenge. Once everyone was distracted getting there food and talking to one another. Melina quickly poured all of the poison in her sister's drink. Once Lidia sat down she grabbed her glass and took a drink. It took a couple minutes for the poison to work it's magic but in no time Lidia passed out.
Her parents were terrified. Melina had to act as if she was also terrified. Although eventually Melina got caught. She was banished into the enchanted woods and never aloud back into Pairie Creek again.
People say she's still in the woods. Taking revenge on anyone and everyone who enters the enchanted woods. They say every other coronation she curses the new queen and makes them pay for her sister's crimes. Melina feeds off of little girls and boys flesh. Picking them one by one until all of them are dead!"
Chapter One: Forced love
"Kay!" The house maid walked in carrying dirty dishes to the sink. "Your mother told you to stop scaring little kids with that story"
Kay was kayitee's nickname her mother used to call her when she was just a young little girl. Kayitee's mother was her best friend since she was a little girl. Well up until her mother married king Grayson. Kayitee's father.
Since her mother's marriage, dawn has been very busy with controlling the kingdom and making sure everything is running smoothly.
With that Dawn's best friend since kindergarten, named Amber. Was kayitee babysitter or in otherwards her maid.
Amber, the maid. Had long beautiful black curly hair, blue eyes that sparkle in the night time sky, and a nice friendly smile. She was wearing a black old dress with a white stained apron over it.
"I'm not scaring them" kayitee smiled. "I'm just telling them a true and very interesting story, besides mother's not here to stop me" she couldn't help but put on a smirk.
"But I am" Amber finished cleaning the dirty dishes then walked over to kayitee standing over her. "And your mother is my boss and I can't help but to follow directions" Amber smiled as she brought kayitee hair out of her face and started braid it.
If Kay was being honest Amber is more of a mom to her then her real mom. Kayitee still remembers when she was six and had the flu and Amber was right next to her whenever she needed anything. While her real mother was out doing "queens duty's"
"Don't forget your big day is in two days, are you excited?" Amber asked dropping the braid beside me gently.
If I was being honest, no I am not even a little bit excited. Coronation is just a big dumb excuse to throw a huge party that everyone is drunk and acting like complet idiots.
"Yes, I'm very exited"
I lied.
"Good" Amber directed the kids around me to head home. Once all the kids left she directed her attention to Kayitee. "Don't forget you have dress fitting tomorrow, and lunch with prince Alani today at three!"
"Shi-crap" Kayitee caught herself. "It's almost three already" She got up and ran to her room on the fifth floor of the castle, almost tripping over her own feet.
Kayitee dug through her closet trying to find a cute outfit for the picnic in thirty minutes. Finally kayitee found the outfit she was going to wear.
The outfit was a pair of grey sweatpants with a light pink cropped tank top and a grey over shirt. I can admit it wasn't my best outfit ever but it was good enough for a twenty minutes picnic with a kid I haven't even met. Kayitee put her hair up into a messy bun re-adding her mascara and some pink shiny lip gloss.
"Kayitee! Hurry up prince Alani is waiting."
"I'm coming" Kayitee said. She hustled down all the stairs to the first floor. When she finally made it down all the stairs she was greeted by her mother, father, Amber, and a blonde haired boy wearing a black tux.
You're kidding me. This is my date?
"Kayitee" Mother said holding out a hand for her to take. "This is prince Alani, prince Alani this is princess Kayitee"
"Nice to meet you, madam Kayitee" Prince Alani bowed down.
"Nice to meet you too, Sir Alani" She held in a laugh, curtsying.
"You two go on now" Queen Roseville, my mother said pushing us along. "Can't get behind schedule now!"
I laughed.
After about five minutes of following prince Alani around the whole campus of Prairie Creek. We finally settled down in front of the enchanted forest. In front of the forest there was a picnic blanket, a basket of food, and some mini decorations.
"This is our stop" Alani said walking closer to the laid out blanket on the floor. "Take a seat"
She took a seat on the end of the blanket. "Wow this is so nice of you" She said smiling.
"Well didn't have much of a choice" Alani grinned. Kayitee could tell he was trying to keep in a chuckle. "If I knew every prince got to take hot girl out on dates I'd love this job"
Kayitee blushed. "Yeah, well this princess will have to pass on that" she teased.
"I'm being serious " Prince Alani face was serious. "We have to get married for you to become queen."
Kayitee thought he was being ridiculous. So ridiculous she started laughing so hard she was crying. She tried to say something but just kept laughing.
"Okay" Kayitee said calming down a little bit. "So your telling me, we as in you, prince Alani and me, as in Princess Kayitee. Have to marry each other at 16?"
Alani nodded. "Yeah, In order to become king and queen."
Kayitee rolled her eyes.
"Stop being ridiculous they're not going to make us if we don't want to"
"Kayitee"
"What?" She said losing her temper a bit.
"Look I know I'm not happy about it either" Alani began "but-"
"I gotta go" Kayitee said getting up from her spot on the blanket. "My stomach is starting to hurt"
Kayitee walked as fast as she could to get out of the awkward situation. Although she couldn't believe she had to get married to a man:
1: She just met for like 30 minutes.
2: Why hadn't anyone told her?
When kayitee got to the castle she could hear Alani calling after her saying something like wait your majesty we still have to-
That's all kayitee could hear before she slammed the door behind her. She ran up to her room as fast as she could shutting and locking the door to her.
That same night around midnight. Kayitee heard a small knock on the door to her bedroom. What would someone want at 12 in the morning? She thought getting up to check who it was. When she opened the door there was nothing.
"Hello?" Kayitee said stepping out of the dark room, looking around the even darker hallway for any trace of people who might have knocked.
Kayitee saw a movement coming from the left side of her. When she looked that way she felt a cold, hard fist hit her face causing her to blackout for a few hours.
When Kay woke up she her hands were tied behind a chair, her mouth was covered by something. Wich she guessed was a tied bandana.
