I’m in the woods running for my life , this is the 5th time I have this dream. It's the same dream I've had over and over just me running in the woods but running as if I was being chased.

Once we picked up our coffee we headed towards a designer store for our dresses , Ally ran straight to the dresses aisle and picked up at least 20 dresses , then she turned around looked at me and said “ try these on, these will look fantastic with your pale skin and red hair” I rolled my eyes and grabbed the dresses and walked towards the dressing rooms to change.The first dress she chose was a blue sweetheart A-neckline strapless with a small train , the dress itself was beautiful Ally clearly knows her fashion because I didn’t think I needed another dress I stepped out to show Ally “call the fire department because this girl is hot!!” She says making me giggle “Cat you have curve for days , but i think we can find you a better dress, I need you to have a WOW type of dress go try the others” she tells me while pushing me towards the dressing rooms .

15 dresses later … I am tired , hungry and getting irritated. Either the dresses were way over budget for me or they just didn’t feel right . I contemplated on just choosing the first dress I tried on until the sales rep brings this dress she says will be perfect for me (like she said for all the other ones). The dress itself fit like a glove . It was mermaid style maroon colored with a V-neckline with some delicate beading to make the top sparkle. It had off the shoulders straps with a high slit having me give off a daring flash of leg. I walked out to show Ally and for someone who gave me compliments with every dress she was in total shock .

“Holy shit Cat this is it! , it would be a crime if you didn’t choose this one “ she says. I turned to look at the mirror and I couldn’t agree more this dress looked like it was made for me. I took a look at the price tag $6,543.89. “ fuck me” I whispered , I looked back at Ally nodding my head no . “Aht aht I said daddy is paying, so missy that is the dress you are getting now take it off because its is my turn can’t have you stealing the show by yourself haha “ she tells me.

lucky for her it only took 5 dresses to try on before she decided on a beautiful deep green embroidered pattern sequins with a nude underlay v-neck with a crisscross straps while her back stayed open. It went beautifully with her tanned olive completion and blonde hair. I chose the shoes for her to wear while she chose my shoes, I chose some sexy gold high stilettos with rhinestones in the front and she chose some silver closed toe high stilettos for me . “ Al are we done I’m starving here” I beg her to finish “Cat I promise were done I just chose our masks and we can leave to feed your fat ass” she tells me with a smirk. “The masks will be delivered tomorrow” she says as she opens the door of the store so we can leave . We placed the dresses in her car and started walking towards Gina’s pizzeria “I can order a whole pie for myself” she says “you? That took all my energy I deserve wings some garlic knots” I tell her , “ see that’s why your my best friend who else can I be fat with” she says .as were walking we pass this Vintage thrift shop I like to visit often since that’s more like my budget I see the things they post on the window and I am completely enamored with this silver necklace with a pear shaped dark ruby pendant . It looked like it was from the gothic renaissance medieval era. “ I wonder what this beauty is doing here” I whispered to myself as I am drawn to it like a moth to a flame , it was only when I hear Ally speak next to me when I’m snapped out of my tranced “what did you say?” I say as I turn to look at Ally “ I was asking what you was looking at but I can see its that beautiful necklace, that is definitely your style”

Yea it is but we have spent enough so lets get some food put my arm into hers and started walking towards the pizzeria. once we got there we took a corner booth and ordered our food with well needed beers to sip on.

“ So I saw you smiling earlier when I was getting ready are you going to tell me what that’s about ?” I ask her while lifting up my eyebrows “ is it a boy?” She swallows her food and grins “ oh Cat I think its thee boy, I met him when I went to the club with the other girls where u denied to go because I’m not cool enough for you haha but man he is so good looking he looked like a model a literal walking orgasm” her eyes kept shining as she spoke about him and how he saved her from some creep “ I swear and after kicking that creeps ass like nothing , we danced all night and he was such a gentleman with me, he even dropped me off home ”

“Al , you know I have Eric who I am bringing by the way I am actually thinking of going all in tomorrow after the party” she looks at me and rolls her eyes “ Cat I love you but he’s such a sleaze I don’t know what you see in him , I swear every time he’s around its like he dims your light and belittles you”, “that’s not true” I tell her “ hes great I mean he can be rough around the edges but hes great” , “yea yea”she tells me “keep telling yourself that , I just think you can a hundred times better.” She says “But I do think I love him and I’m going to show him tomorrow” I tell her as I push some of my hair behind my ears.

She sighs heavy and goes “ well then we must get you ready and primp to loose your V card, let me make a call so we can get that situated, no one should loose their V card having a 70s bush girl “ she says while laughing I throw a garlic knot at her while saying “ your an ass “ while we laugh together.

After some calls she says appointments are all set up. She has made appointments for nails , hair, wax and facials for today and tomorrow so we can be all beautified as she called it. “ so today is wax, facials and nails , tomorrow morning its hair and makeup” she tells me “ so lets get a move on” she continues to say “ alright , ill pay for lunch so does this wax hurt? “I ask her “ honestly yes , like a bitch but after a few wax appointment you won’t feel a thing and besides it will look so much prettier and men love all bare trust me on this, now tell me again Cat how is it that your twenty three , gorgeous and haven’t gone all the way ?” She asks, “ I don’t know it just hasn’t happen”

Walking back to the car I get a text from Eric “ hey babe I won’t be able to meet you later today but lets meet up for coffee tomorrow morning” I just respond with “ok, please don’t be late”

I haven’t seen him all week since he cancels all the time and now this again. I sigh and put my phone away in my bag trying to not be a sour puss on this fun day I’ve been having with Al. she looks at me while turning her car on “ there goes your light dimming , let me take a guess on who is dimming it.”She says . “ just drive to the wax place please.

45 and worst pain ever minute later I am fully waxed. I literally have tears still in my eyes, I don’t know how women can do this monthly it was literal torture. But I was smoother then butter and all ready for tomorrow night for Eric. I met Ally in the front of the waxing salon and she was all grins on her phone again. I felt a pang of jealousy not at her directly but of what she was going through I wish Erics and I relationship was more like that . I miss the feeling of being all giddy waiting for a text to pop up. Instead of feeling like a friend meeting another friend like in my case “ coffee” . I wanted to feel what she was feeling. But with Eric he wasn’t the sentimental type and I knew I have to just get over it. “ Im done and that was awful even the leg wax hurt ” I say and she looks up and smiles “ well I bet a million bucks you look fantastic, now next stop nail salon.” She grabs my hand and drags me to the car. we arrive at the salon and we each get pulled away to our nail specialist I got my nails shaped almond and decided to do do gold French design so it can match the shoes and for my toes I went with a ballet pink color while Ally chose French tip with coffin shape nails and French toes. As we got done Ally got a call and was all giddy when she hanged up she said “that was Lucien , he wants to take me out on a date tonight , I love our besties day out but we have to run home so I can get ready” I thanked god and responded with “ oh you don’t have to worry you have exhausted me and I need a good nap!”
